ZONE SWIMMING A huge congratulations to our swimming team who placed 1st at today’s Zone Swimming Competition at Cameron Pools. This is the 19th year in a row that TKS have won the cup. Awesome effort guys!! Thank you to all parent helpers who volunteered their time today to help transport and supervise at the event.
LOST PROPERTY There is a large amount of lost property clothing in the foyer of Rooms 12 and 14. Please check to see if any clothing belongs to your children. Unclaimed and unnamed clothing will be washed and put into the second hand uniform shop.
SCHOOL DONATIONS
There will be a 10% discount applied to the below amount only, if this amount is paid in full before 31st March 2017. The School donation is $280.00 per child, per year, up to 2 children. The School donation is $200 per child for the 3rd and subsequent children in family. Thank you to all families who have paid donations to the school. Your funds go a long way in helping to supplement learning opportunities and experiences for all our students.
ICAS EXAMS Information has been sent home today regarding the International Competitions and Assessments for Schools. These exams are available for Year 4 to Year 6 students. If you would like your child to sit these exams, please complete the form and make payment. The closing date for registrations is Tuesday 11th April.
ECO CLUB Eco club is up and running with a group of approximately 80 children.
During the year the students will be taking part in a series of workshops.
Learning about worm farming
Participating in the waste wise audit and reporting back to the board
Learning how to sow seeds and look after seedlings
Harvesting garden produce
Cooking with garden produce
Taking part in the spud growing competition
Learning how to weed and look after growing plants
Making something to sell at the market day
Learning how to sort rubbish
Additional responsibilities of the Eco-Club are:
Organising the milk project (ordering, handing out, recycling bins)
Ensuring that the school continues to be a Waste wise school by monitoring rubbish sorting (roster, training)
This program provides a wonderful opportunity for children to learn about
plant growing and environmental sustainability.
The vegetable gardens have been replanted for early autumn harvesting.

TOY LIBRARIAN JOB VACANCY Carlson Toy Library is a not-for-profit organisation, loaning toys to local families. We have a part-time librarian position available. If you are an organised person, with excellent people skills, basic computer skills and preferably a photographic memory for reuniting that certain toy with a missing piece then we’d like to hear from you. This role is a job share. The library is open: Thursday and Friday 9.30am to 12.00pm Saturday 9.30am to 12.30pm During school holidays, except summer school holidays. The librarian has some additional employment hours.
