Voluntary Contributions School voluntary contributions are set in consultation with the School Council. It has been agreed that the voluntary contribution, per child, is $60.00 which will go towards the purchase of replacement library books, reading materials, computer consumables and photo copy paper. The more families who pay this voluntary contribution the more resources will be available to our students

On Entry Assessment Students in Pre Primary will conclude their on entry assessment from week 3 to week 7. Staff will be busy testing and entering the data onto the computer and will have the Parent Summary Reports ready to be sent home in week 9. Duplicate copies will be sent home for each family that requires a copy for Mum and Dad. There are suggestions for activities to help your child develop further on the back. Students receive a report for Literacy and Numeracy.

TERM PLANNER The Term 1 Planner was sent home last Friday and can also be found on the school Website.

Projects above that are benefits to the school over and above their environmental responsibility like reducing waste going to landfill and reducing our carbon emissions are

aluminium can and newspaper recycling which provide funds to the school that are allocated to the Kitchen Garden program run by Mrs Dwyer

Beauty product and oral care packaging and Nespresso pod recycling that see the school gain points which are redeemable for a $0.01 per point cash payment to the school, organisation of our choice, product bundles, collection materials and charitable gifts.

The projects below are whole school projects initiated by Mrs Dwyer in conjunction with staff to reduce waste and carbon emissions.

Projects Collection Points Aluminium and steel lids from cans of

Milo, Coffee etc for hanging art mobiles to help deter birds from

entering the garden.

Vegetable garden shed. Children can take to class and they will be taken to

shed from there.

Stamps – money raised goes to medical research.

Collection box in the library.

Parents/Care givers please set up containers at home for as many of the above items as you can and send them to school as this will also reduce your waste and carbon emissions. Teachers can you also consider setting up containers for various items so children can see them as this will help them remember items we require. Thankyou, Waste Wise, Waterwise, Climate Clever Schools committees and Green Team.

PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG INTO THE SCHOOL GROUNDS

Dogs are not permitted on school grounds as

some students are scared of dogs and dogs can be unpredictable when

around large groups of children. We have many children who are frightened of dogs and become upset and anxious if dogs are in the school grounds before or after school. We ask that parents leave their dogs at home or in the vehicle.
