WELCOME

This week we welcomed two new students to our school community. Lilly has joined the Ms Fleay’s 1/2

class, while Connor has joined Ms Gloury’s 3/4 class. We would like to welcome Lilly and Connor and their

parents Claire and Mark.

TERM 1 THANK YOU

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for the support offered during this term. I have greatly

appreciated the messages and well wishes offered. I am very excited to be part of this wonderful community,

moving forward as the Principal. As one little person expressed to me last week, “You don’t have to pretend

any more. You can be the real thing now!”

I wish everyone a safe and relaxing break. Take time with those who mean the most to you!

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Miss Mannes for her hard work this term. Miss Mannes has

worked at our school for a number of years, fulfilling many different roles. Next week, Miss Mannes and her

partner head to Europe, travelling and exploring many different countries. Whilst away, Miss Mannes will

travel to Turkey, Greece and then make their way through Europe before heading to South America. She will

return to Australia late in Term 4. We wish Miss Mannes and Jeremy all the best for their travels. Stay safe!

We look forward to hearing all about your many adventures.

MOBILE PHONE RECYCLING

Axedale Primary School is a keen supporter of Zoos Victoria mobile

phone recycling complain.

They're calling you aims to raise awareness of the threats gorillas face

from mining while raising money to support primate conservation and

divert phones from landfill.

All smart phones, mobile phones, tablets and accessories such as

chargers in ANY condition are accepted.

To protect data, it is recommended to conduct a factory reset before

donating your phone.

Let's support endangered species programs and donate any phones that

are hanging around your house..... they are full of heavy metals that can

be recycled!! The phone collection tub is located across from the school

office on the sports memorabilia display area.

Thanks
