Newsleer No. 23 - 3rd September Greengs, On 11th September (next Thursday) at 12.00pm, Tyalla will be holding a special showcase to celebrate the wonderful achievements in our school in the creave and praccal arts. Everyone has been madly rehearsing and there is certainly a great buzz of excitement in the air. The special performance will be held at nearby Sportz Central (Bray Street) and will involve performances from every student and every class within our school. The Father’s Day Stall is being held this Friday, straight after assembly. Gifts this year are $5 and include a card. Money can be brought to school and given to your class teacher. Please don’t take Father’s Day Stall money to the front office. Money must be given to the class teacher. Children will then be given a voucher to ‘spend’ at the stall.

Any parents/carers who can help out on the stall would be most welcome and appreciated. Please let the front office know.

Friday, 5th September - 9.10am - Whole School Assembly

KINDERGARTEN VISIT TO MASONIC VILLAGE (HSIE)

Kindergarten students will visit the Masonic Village in Coffs Harbour on Monday, 15th September as part of their HSIE unit on ‘Places We Know’. The students will be singing to entertain the residents. Have fun Kindergarten.

NEWCOMBE BALL

Stage 3 students, under the supervision of Mr Ferguson, have started a Newcombe Ball competition which will run until the end of Term 4. The eight teams of students will play every Friday at lunchtime, with the winning team rumoured to be taking on a staff team at the end of the year. Results will be published weekly in the newsletter and photos will be posted on the Tyalla website. Thank you Mr Ferg and good luck everyone!

HOT OFF THE PRESS! … NORTH COAST ATHLETICS

Congratulations to Dovi Adjikou who placed fourth in Junior Girl’s Shotput at yesterday’s North Coast Athletics Carnival and to Jordan Walker who has been selected in the North Coast team to compete in Sydney. More information will follow.
