Our Junior students performing their Nativity play in the Roncalli hall last week Ngā mihi o te Kirihimete ki a koe (Christmas greetings to you all). What a year it has been! Not one of us could have predicted half the surreal things that have happened over the last 12 months . . . a virus that stopped the world, school running remotely at your home, hailstones that broke 10 000 cars, our freedom to travel gone . . . it has been unprecedented. But regardless, here we are. Shaken but not broken. Amazed but not overwhelmed. We have hung together, looked after each other, and as a school a town a country, we have done what needed to be done and gotten on with life. Good things have still occurred and we have plenty to be grateful for. In fact, the experience of this year has given many the chance to reflect about what really matters and that is a gift. So we look forward to next year with optimism and trust in God that no matter what is thrown up, we will be fine. Kia kaha. I wish you and your whanau a blessed Christmas and a peaceful New Year. Ngā mihi o te Kirihimete ki a koe (Christmas greetings to you all).

We have hung together, looked after each other, and as a school – a town – a country, we have done what needed to be done and gotten on with life.

Ngā mihi ki te whanau ma, Meri Kirihimete koutou me ngā mihi nui o te tau hou.

    God bless David
