The next CGFM Intensive Review
Course (IRC), which offers up to 18 CPEs, will be held in Alexandria, VA on April
3-4, 2017. Classes will be
from 8 am—5 pm on both days.
Cost for participants are below:
• $375 for AGA members
• $425 for non-members
SPECIAL BONUS: The CGFM examinations will be offered at no additional cost for
attendees.
To sign up for the CGFM examinations for the April 3-4 course, visit Pearson Profes-
sional Testing Centers between April 5—July 31, 2017, using the vouchers provided by
AGA.
Registration deadline is March 22, 2017 and will be on a first come, first serve basis.

Dear AGA members and friends,
Happy Women’s History Month!
I want to let you know that our March monthly meeting will be on March 21, 2017 at the
Westin in the Ballston area of Arlington, VA. The exact location is 801 N. Glebe Rd, Arlington, VA. CPEs, food,
drinks and networking opportunities will be provided.
We will have several events scheduled in the upcoming months. Also, the CGFM Intensive Review Course (IRC)
will be held on April 3-4, 2017.

CGFM Instruction The NOVAGA CGFM board members held its CGFM Instruction on Module 2 Part 2 on February 23, 2017.
Attendees had positive feedback. Special thanks to Kevin Shers and Mark Sager for answering many of the
difficult questions from attendees.
NOVAGA Chapter February Meeting Our NOVAGA February meeting featured Ms. Judy Bradt who spoke about Tools
to Build Trust.
Attendees enjoyed a good time with happy hour, dinner
and then a networking event.
Special thank you to Mr. Joannes Yibesaiu for speaking
about the Hope for Children Cameroon.

Diane Nguyen For the month of March, we are
featuring Diane Nguyen, who is a
Senior Consultant at Deloitte.
How long have you been a
member of AGA? I have been a member of AGA for
approximately 1 year.
What board position do you hold currently? I am currently serving as the Newsletter Editor for the
NOVAGA chapter.
What sector do you work in and what type of work
do you do? I currently work in the federal practice doing advisory
work.
What has been your favorite AGA event? My favorite event was the 2016 Awards Banquet at the
Army Navy Country Club. It was a great event and I was
able to network many members and it led me to wanting
to serve on the board.
Do you have any advice for people looking to join
AGA or to get more involved? Definitely reach out to any of us listed in the newsletter.
We are always seeking help and appreciate any outside of
the box ideas to help make our chapter even better!
What do you like to do outside of work and AGA? Outside of what I do at work and for AGA, I enjoy hiking,
traveling and trying out new restaurants around the area.
