Regional Athletics
Congratulations to our Regional Athletics team -
Narina, Lasenia, Seif, Lisandro,
Jamayka, Jaclyn, Katelyn and Zainab
who competed for the Horsley Zone last
Wednesday.

Book Week A big thank you to Mrs
Rajapakse for
organising our fantastic
Book Week Celebrations. Everyone had a great time and the book
character
parade was a lovely way to finish off the day. Thanks to all the
teachers and
students who dressed up and supported the day.
Spelling Bee
Congratulations and Good Luck to our Spelling Bee Competitors
who will be
representing our school at Busby PS this Thursday.

Gala Day
Congratulations to Mr Chand and his AFL
team and Miss Ismail and her European
Handball Team who had a great time at
their gala day last Friday. Once again,
Prairievale PS students made us proud
with their behaviour and great sportsmanship all day.
Parks Music Festival
Last Wednesday and Thursday was the Parks Music Festival. Our
school
performed with enthusiasm and feedback from parents was
extremely positive. I
was also extremely proud of how our students behaved while
waiting backstage.
Thanks to all the teachers and parents who gave so much of their
own time to
make the performance possible.
Swim Scheme
Last week we began our Special Swimming Scheme at Prairiewood
Leisure
Centre. The students have thoroughly enjoyed their lessons and
the weather has
been perfect for walking to and from the pool. The last lesson
will be this Friday.

Attendance week Pizza Party
Congratulations to 1/2A who had the best
attendance in Weeks 6 and 7 this term. It is
important that students attend school every
day unless they are sick enough to need to
see a doctor. Well done to all of the students who have
great
attendance! Look out for our next attendance week reward
party next term ☺
Leave
I will be taking 3 weeks leave at the beginning of Term 4. Miss
Mair will be
relieving as Principal during this time and Miss Penman will be
supervising
Early Stage 1. I am sure they will do a fantastic job in my
absence.
Success for former Prairievale PS Students
Congratulations to Jumana Alsudani and Jason Wang - both former
Prairievale
PS students who were inducted as school captains at Prairiewood
HS yesterday.
We are very proud to see our students go on to achieve such
success.

If anyone has any second hand uniforms that they no longer need,
we would
appreciate any donations to the school. We regularly hold second
hand uniform
sales and any donations would be gratefully accepted.

In KG this term we have been
learning how to write using
describing words.
Class in Focus KG
We have also been busy practicing our reading as well as
learning lots of fun
things in maths, such as making equal groups and ordering
numbers.
Also SPRING HAS SPRUNG IN KINDERGARTEN!
Kindergarten are all excited for you to see our
amazing window display.
