Date: Week 10—20th March 2015 Science Week It’s been science week this week and every class has enjoyed stretching their learning muscles to help them become super scientists. We’ve had a number of scientists visit us to help with our learning—a big thank you to Mr Kellet who visited Y6 on Tuesday to help with their learning about rocks whilst Y4 and Y5 welcomed Professor Ghering from Sheffield University who helped them learn about molecules. There was a fantastic turn out to our parent events in Y1 and Y4 on Wednesday afternoon—thank you to everyone who came along to support our learning. You can find out more about what we learned in science week and see some of the photos and videos of our experiments and investiga- tions by visiting our class blogs. Polite Reminder Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the school site. Please help us to keep our school a healthy and smoke free environment. Blog Maintenance The school blog will be inaccessible from today and throughout the weekend for maintenance. Please note: Can we remind parent/carers that family pets are not allowed on the school premises for Health and Safety reasons.

    Science Week

    South Africa

    Miss Johnson and Miss Haigh have enjoyed

    the first few days of their South African

    adventure. After a long days travelling on

    Wednesday, they spent Thursday at Monte

    Vista Community School in Cape Town learn-

    ing about school in South Africa. You can
