Semester One Reports Due to COVID19 and the disruption to learning for students this semester, the semester one school reports will look a little different from last semester’s reports. The reports will contain these elements: • No A to E grading for subjects • Effort ratings for all subjects • Comments for English and Mathematics • Ratings for Social Development • Ratings for Commitment to Learning • No ‘Other School Activities’ • General Comment • Days Absent

Painting the Planters Thank you to our amazing Stage 3 boys, James, Jonathan, Sam and Seth, for helping Annette paint the planters on Thursday! They look so much better

Playground Antics

Playground Antics Students in 3-6 have been playing Kick Tennis a few days this week both in class and during recess and lunch. A popular activity at the moment! Another current favourite in the playground is

the sandpit where the students have been digging a hole to China, making mashed

potato and creating the amazing, one and only, Cheese Mountain!

K-2 Science Students in K-2 are continuing to explore forces in Science. This week the children explored how friction slowed down a moving object. Last week the students investigated how air pressure could be used to make a boat move through the water! Look at these amazing young scientists!

3-6 Science Students in Stage 3 have been inventing products that use energy for a purpose. Lucas did an amazing job this week creating a green night light. Congratulations to Lucas and all of our amazing scientists at HPS!

High Tea is Back! This week we held High Tea for the first time since COVID 19. There were quite a lot of worthy recipients who had missed out over the last few weeks!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Attendance It is wonderful to have all our students back at school again full time!

Sometimes it takes a while for little people to get back into the routine of getting up early and getting ready for school, but we encourage parents to keep encouraging them to come along. Once they get here they forget all about how nice and warm their bed was!

Lunch Orders Lunch orders are back up and running! Parents please write the order on a paper bag or envelope with money inside.

Mondays Sausage Sandwich - $2 Wednesday Cheese Toastie - $2 Friday Meat pie - $2

Book Club The current Book Club catalogue went home with students last Friday.

Due Friday June 19th Orders can be sent to school as usual
