John Wilkinson, our chairman is a truly inspirational man with a positive attitude. Nothing is too much for

joining RAF and worked three years in Gibraltar. On re-

turning joined Derby Telegraph and worked there for

Indian cookery is going well. In January meeting we will learn how to cook Biryani. Would you like to join,

contact Anne Mann.

At the last “understanding Memory Course” one of our friend recalled her childhood memory. She

was going to school by bus. Driver would stop and wait to pick her up. If any reason she was not

going to school, her mother would need to go and tell driver, otherwise he would wait. Days have

gone when people showed care with their job. In last thirty years world around has changed. Money

has taken over caring for others. We have forgotten that money is only a commodity. We have put

all our values in it. Caring for others has become a kind of weakness. Do you not think we need to

bring back old values again.

At present we have 187 members renewed their subscription.

date us with change of address and e mail ID.

Members. She can be contacted on 599750

I am sure all of you will

be happy to join me in

thanking Brian Masters,

who was ably was support-

ed by his wife Christine

Masters, as they have

looked after our organisa-

tions finances and man-

aged account very well for

the last several years. Our

sincere thanks to them.

We have healthy bacteria in our gut, which helps to digest food. If we eat

oats in breakfast, we would provide nutrition to those healthy bacteria,

which in turn would improve our digestion.

Group leaders are invited to share group activities here with the whole club.

We had four successful four weeks cource on

“understanding Memory” . We think it is very use-

ful learning. We would like every members of U3A

should take opportunity to attend. We would hope

to run fifth course in new year. If you are interest-

ed please let us have your name.

When I was younger, I could remember

anything, whether it had happened or

not; but my faculties are decaying now

and soon I shall be so I cannot remember

any but the things that never hap-

pened. It is sad to go to pieces like this

but we all have to do it. ~Mark Twain
