Reasons for the change

Introduce a modern look-and-feel Updated layouts Adaptive screens that will adjust to the size of the screen

without scroll bars

Browser independence* For Next Generation AFO pages and menus (but not current

AFO pages) will run in Safari, Chrome, and FireFox *Full browser independence available when all current AFO

screens have been converted over multiple phases

Security Next Generation AFO pages will not require specific security

settings

Dictionary and Pop-Up Search Fields

Some search fields will have two additional functions indicated by an X and magnifying glass Dictionary search – dynamically searches for matches based

on the characters entered Pop-up search – a separate pop-up window to search for a

particular value (ex. Physicians) in order to complete a search

Paging Search Results

Allows paging which makes more information easier to access in the display Ability to adjust how many results show per page,

cycle through the pages, or navigate to a specific page

Patient Name Link - Search Results/Grids

Links on a patient name will open a new tab on the patient record with the given patient selected in the working list

Hovering your mouse over icons will display additional information Example - High level details about a particular piece of data Display complex information without taking up page space

workflows as the pages on the current AFO site Any workflow changes between new and current AFO

will be noted in the subsequent slides

When will AFO be changing for you?

You should have been notified by your Brightree Account Manager, via email, with the date that you will be scheduled to move to the new AFO site When active, users will automatically be directed to

the Next Generation AFO site at log in

Preparation – what you need to do

Update all AFO workstations to Internet Explorer 10 (IE10) browser Next Generation AFO Menus/Screens do not function on

anything lower than IE10 Current AFO screens still require Internet Explorer to run

correctly Browser independence will come at the end of the multi-phased

rollout

Update all AFO workstations to Windows 7 or above if still on Windows XP IE10 is not supported on Windows XP

Preparation – Troubleshooting

In order to make some current pages work correctly, changes small infrastructure changes were needed. For some users, these changes will not be recognized

by your Internet Explorer browser, causing some pages (especially Billing pages) to function incorrectly. Solution Clear Browser History Clear Browser Cache Reset security settings Restart the computer (if settings are reset)

These actions will allow your browsers to correctly read the small changes.

Clear Cache Choose the developer tools option in the settings drop down. OR – strike the F12 Key. For IE10 users, the developer tools window will have a menu

option for Cache. For IE11 See below for buttons to clear cache.

be re-applied.
