Onneakin oli matkassa,sillä antoi idin samalla sekunnilla kun käynnistinäänityksen taajuudella. Aloitteli juuri urheiluohjelmaa,jonka toimittajalla on matala ja monotoninen ääni, jostaei saa mitään tolkkua. AZERBAIJAN: I was briefly in Baku earlierthis week and can report that Radio Dada Gorgudis still on the air - just. I heard it at various times,including the sole daily English transmission at1700 on both 1296 and 6111 (approx). The MWtransmitter is now on-channel (ex 1295) butaudio quality is poor and the signal wassurprisingly weak. In the evening, it wassuffering interference from the IBB transmitter inAfghanistan: Signal strengths on 6111 were alsopoor, though that might be because I was in theskip zone. It is worth noting that the DadaGorgud ID is still being used. The ID in Englishwas "Radio Dada Gorgud, the Voice ofAzerbaijan". Overall though, the poor signals andaudio quality meant that station was not properlymonitorable in its own capital city.Some other Baku observations in brief: As perWRTH, 1296 also relays RFE at times, in parallelwith 1530 (the latter much stronger in Baku). Ofthe other MW channels listed in WRTH, 549,801 and 891 were heard (all in parallel) but therewas no sign of listed Baku 612. Wobbler: In brief, the Wobbler is not a station, itis an unexplained anomaly of some Cubanbroadcast stations. When heard in its mostvigorous mode it sounds like a sheet of metalbeing shaken or wobbled, hence the name Icoined for the thing. At its most extreme it can beheard at night over powerhouse stations all acrossthe country. As I mentioned, such an example on1100 Radio Cadena Habana, from Havana Cuba,was heard in Hawaii. The northwest of the UShas heard the Wobbler, but I don't think anyonefrom California has reported hearing any.There are a dozen or so Cuban stations whichexhibit this unpredictable condition. There is noway to know when one or several might be heard,though in the past there have been periods whereone sounded off for several days if not weeks at atime. Every day since I started tracking them --well over a year now -- there has been at leastone and usually a half dozen or so heard everyday, but very much weaker than can be heardfrom beyond the near local south Florida vicinity.You can read about the suggested cause of thephenomenon -- generally believed to beattributable to malfunctioning old equipment andan unstable power system.
