OKTOBERFEST 2013 A Free Opportunity to Share Your Business
Hi all, Fall is here! TLARGI is waking up from its summer hibernation. We have many things happening now through the end of the year. First off is the 2013 Technical Conference on October 1st. Uppala Rajakaruna has been working hard and has secured TLARGI four excellent presenters for the afternoon (see the flyer later in newsletter). Then at 5:00 PM starts our Oktoberfest Mini-Expo showcasing our local industry and the many things that are happening. This is TLARGI’s largest meeting and we get to see and renew friendships with people we have not seen all year. This meeting is important also as this is the meeting that Mike Haney (Director at Large) gets to introduce us to the new slate of candidates willing to run for the 2014 Board of Directors. We have the last Golf Tournament of the year coming up on November 4 th where the “Golfer of the Year” will be crowned. Then we will have our November Dinner meeting on November 5th that gets everyone in the mood for the Holiday season. We will then be voting on the new Board of Directors that will be announced at the Christmas Party. And of course we have the ever popular and growing TLARGI Christmas Party “A Candy Cane Christmas” December 7th at the Westin Hotel next to the South Coast Plaza, in Costa Mesa. The Committee is already telling me this is going to be the largest party we have had in many years, so get your tickets soon. The hotel has given us a terrific rate on rooms so you can party longer with no worries. As always please let me know if you have any suggestions, comments or concerns. See you at the Oktoberfest! Reservations: Deadline for all table reservations is November 16, 2013. Table assignments will be made on a first-come-first served basis, upon total remittance for your party. Smaller groups will be consolidated and tables will be for ten.
Parking: Valet $14/$28 overnight; Self $10/$20 overnight.

The Grand Lodge of TLARGI Past Chairmen’s (GLTPC) annual tournament drew forty-two golf-ers to California Country Club on September 9, 2013. The GLTPC golf tournament contributed over $7,000.00 to the TLARGI Undergraduate Scholarship program. The participants had a good time and helped a worthy cause. GLTPC thanks everyone who participated in the tournament. GLTPC members involved in the tournament included Don Closs, Bob Barkmeyer, Karen Kelly, Tom Martin, Lois McKinney, Margaret O’Donnell, Keith Thomas and Howard Vipperman. Photographer Beth Sepulveda.
