FOR THE RIDE HOME First Reading: Is 11: 1-10 Second Reading: Rom 15: 4-9 Gospel: Mt 3:1-12
John the Baptist seems to be a believer in the
saying, "Actions speak louder than words." He tells
the religious leaders of his day "Give some evidence
that you mean to reform." John wanted everyone to
be ready for the Messiah: no excuses!
How are you getting ready for the Messiah? Are your
actions of justice, peace, and love speaking loud and
clear as you prepare for Christmas? Take a few
quiet moments and ask Saint John the Baptist to
suggest something just, peaceful, and loving that
you could do to prepare to celebrate Christmas as a
true follower of Christ.
2nd SUNDAY OF ADVENT
Check the Parish web site at: www.steas.org for updates.
TAKE AN ACTIVE PART AT MASS
Families are encouraged to bring up the gifts of Bread and Wine at Mass or help to light the candle on our Advent wreath. This is an excellent way to show your children how to take a special part in the Mass. Also, be aware that many new faces are appearing in the Youth Choir at the 12 Noon Mass and on the altar as servers. Keep up the good work!
HOME STUDY MATERIALS If you are doing home study for grades 3,4 or 5 and missed the November meeting, please stop by the office to pick up your child’s book and teaching materials. If you are unable to get to the Office during business hours, please call us at 737-8915 to make other arrangements.
LEVEL 1 PARENTS If you missed the December 2nd Parent meeting, please pick up handouts from the office.

Prayer Blanket Ministry
Meetings are held on Saturdays from 9:30am to 12:30pm. Next meeting is December 21st.
New members are always welcome. Come join this exciting ministry—we create prayer blankets, lap robes, baby blankets, preemie hats, Christmas stockings, “pink scarves”, etc. and donate them to various organizations, nursing homes, etc. We also share ideas, patterns and
offer instruction for anyone wishing to learn to knit or cro-chet or brush up on their skills. For more information call the Parish Outreach. If you have yarn to donate, we
will gladly accept it and use it. Thank you!
Join Us With Mary When life got overwhelming and too big for us as children, we turned to our mother for support and guidance. As adults, we thank her for all she had done for us. Now we are blessed with the opportunity to turn to our Heavenly Mother Mary to ask for her support and guidance, and thank her for the many blessings she has given us. Every Wednesday after 9:00 AM mass (at 9:30), you are invited to join us as we pray the rosary to ask for her help and guid-ance and to thank her for her abounding love and in-tercession.
ARE YOU A REGISTERED PARISHIONER? Many parishioners support St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in the weekly collection and we do not have them listed in our census. We would like to make sure you are given proper credit for your donations. Please fill in the bottom of this page and we will send you a registration form. ***You are not automatically registered if you received a sacrament in the parish, i.e. Baptism, Confirmation, Matrimony, etc. NAME__________________________________ ADDRESS________________________________ _________________________________________ _________________________________________ _________________________________________
