College Access ConventionsThe goal of these conventions is to encourage New Hampshire underrepresented, minority, ESL, rural, low-income and first-generation college students to pursue higher education and achieve their dreams. The Access Conventions offer testimonials from current students regarding their college experiences, financial aid workshops, networking opportunities, college planning materials, a college fair and a campus tour. Each year these conventions reach more than 2,000 students from thirty high schools across the state.

The New Hampshire Higher Education SummitThe New Hampshire Higher Education Summit brings together higher education leaders, business leaders and public policy makers to explore industry trends. Following an address from Ted Mitchell, the former US Under Secretary of Education there will be a response from New Hampshire higher education leaders and an opportunity for dialogue with the higher education community, business leaders and public policy makers. The event provides an opportunity for dialogue regarding the value of a degree and how New Hampshire can prepare students to be college and career ready.

New Hampshire College & University Council

New Hampshire ScholarsNew Hampshire Scholars is a statewide business education program that better prepares high school students for college and career. Our goal is to encourage students to take a more rigorous core course of study in high school. By doing so, students graduate better prepared for college and career. The program began in 2007 and has grown to include nearly every public high school in the state. This year we will recognize 5,300 high school seniors who have achieved this distinction. Local businesses partner with the schools to mentor students so they better understand what skills are necessary in the 21st century workforce.

New Hampshire Forum on the FutureThe New Hampshire Forum on the Future, formed in 2005, brings a sharp focus on the various forces shaping New Hampshire. The Forum convenes leaders from higher education, business and public policy at events throughout the year. Average attendance at these events is 150-175 guests. In effect, The Forum serves as a cornerstone for examining the issues and trends in each of these areas and asks key questions, including how we can best prepare for our collective future?
