Purpose The general purpose of the NHHAC shall be to encourage the members to acquire, preserve, restore, exhibit and make use of antique, classic and special interest automobiles, and such other motor vehicles considered by the club fitting this purpose. Also, the club will promote the introduction of ideas and fellowship among its members. The Newsletter of the North Hills Historic Auto Club Since 1971 A Message from the President We had a great turn out for the August meeting and what made it especially nice was the slide presentation Pat O’Neill put on about the 1996 Summer Tour. It was also nice to see many of the long standing members, many of whom are no longer with us, having such a good time. I’d like to have members tell a short story about some of the funny situations they’ve had on past trips. I know there are some really funny ones to be told! Speaking of good times, we just had a couple of fun lunch trips in August to Christy’s in Ellwood City and The Roadhouse in New Middletown, Ohio. The Christy’s trip was a spectacular day and everyone was able to bring their antique car. What a sight to see them all in a row! Always a pleasure to have so many members and friends take part in these trips. Sorry many of you aren’t able to make it on the first and third Thursday trips, but maybe in the future you’ll be able to join us. Only two more trips left -- September 7th and 21st. You’ll be happy to hear that a one day trip is being planned for a Sunday, October 15. It will be called the Dick Lowe Tour. More details will be given at the September picnic meeting. Heads up to all men! The last Friday of September through April will be the Men’s Breakfast (from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m.) at the Adzema Drug Store, on Rt. 19, Perry Highway, near where the old West View Amusement Park was located. For more directions, please call me. With fall fast approaching, I hope to see all of you at the annual picnic on September 10th! Your President Steve Illsley
