NIBE™ SMO 10 CONTROL MODULE NIBE SMO 10 SMO 10 is an intelligent control module that, together with one or more NIBE air/water heat pumps and existing heating and hot water equipment, creates a complete unit. The SMO 10 unit allows the heat pump to be docked to va- rious solutions such as eletric boiler, oil fired boiler and accu- mulator tank / water heater such as a NIBE VPA. NIBE SMO 10 can be connected in several different ways. this is just an example of a docking. Further system solutions are available in respective assembly instructions for the accessories used.

See the appropriate “Installation and Maintenance Instructions” for more information.Note! this is an example diagram. Actual installations must be planned according to applicable standards.

Below is an example diagram showing the F2XXX together with SMO 10, additional heat, water heater, pool heating and additional F2XXX air/water heat pump.

SMO 10 controls up to nine F2XXX (of which only one can be used for hot water), additional heat, circulation pumps, shuttle valve, etc.

F2XXX HP1 prioritises hot water charging via a shuttle valve (19.1). If there are no hot water or heating demands, F2XXX is available for pool heating via shuttle valve (19.2).

F2XXX runs with floating condensing towards the heating system.

If F2XXX cannot handle the heating demand, the additional heat is connected.

When additional heat is engaged, hot water is heated using the immersion heater in the hot water heater.

the fan works in stage 1 or stage 2 depending on the outdoor air temperature.

In cases where the system volume in the radiator circuit is below 20 l/kW (heat pump output at 7/45 °C) and/or the radiator flow is choked uncontrolled, a UKV tank (120) is installed as a volume and flow increaser.
