Who is Hitec?Hitec is a UPS/CPS (continuous power supply) that has single module system rating from 500 to3000kVA utilizing a generator, free-wheel clutch and induction coupling and diesel engine.
How does Hitec Provide Value?The diesel engineer sits idle in utility mode and maintains 96% efficiency. The engine is preheatedand lubricated to assure a fast and reliable start. Once utility power fails, the diesel is issued astart command and ramps up to full speed. In the meantime, the induction coupling – Hitec’sdistinctive concept and heart of the system, supplies the needed power to the critical load. Totaltransfer time is approx. 5-10 seconds. When utility fails or falls outside of its tolerance, the systemretrieves power from the kinetic energy of the inner rotor by energizing the DC winding of the outrotor. This is adequate amount of energy to bridge the time required for the diesel engine to startand ramp up to full speed and power.
