Use the guidance on the NISCC website The NISCC website, PiP section, contains examples of good reflective logs and tips on reflective writing. Learning and Development teams within employing organisations may also provide support and guidance. The key is to use your reflective skills and demonstrate how your practice has improved for service users and carers. Make it a habit Use reflective discourse in your daily practice, what do you think of that? What do you make of that? PiP CREDIT ACCUMULATION Have you accumulated and recorded 100 PiP Credits? Credits accumulated are verified by the Line Manager

You will indicate this by ticking the relevant box on NISCC online when claiming credits

Currency of learning should be ensured

Learning that has occurred from January 2015 onwards can be logged and used to claim your requirement

PiP CREDIT ACCUMULATION

Have you accumulated and recorded 100 PiP Credits? If so you may be exempt from PRTL Audit

You are encouraged to reflect on the difference that your learning has had on your practice, illustrated with anonymised examples from practice. In doing so you should ensure that you maintain confidentiality and seek consent from the service users that you work with. If using direct evidence, a statement must be included in the submission indicating that informed consent has been obtained and that confidentiality was explained to the service user. STEP TWO – Click on Professional in Practice (PiP)
