Mass Awareness Initiatives
We follow a holistic approach for taking care of children from weaker sections of society, who are suffering from life threatening disorders; We currently focus on Type 1 Diabetes .
Apart from free medical aid (in the form of medicines, pathology tests, check-ups), we also provide counseling, guidance and support through home visits, school visits and regular phone calls to the children and their families under our care with the aim of empowerment and rehabilitation, to ensure their overall well-being.
We conduct awareness programs/sessions to train school teachers to recognize diabetic emergencies and to perform first-aid treatment .
We educate the eco-structure (surrounding the children under our care) and undertake mass awareness initiatives targeting the stigma surrounding the disorders we focus on.
We follow a grassroots approach, working closely with doctors, social workers, educators, dieticians, volunteers, pharmacies, pathology labs and NGOs to provide a holistic support system for our children.
