Small Scale Production of Foods
Market tests, human trials, testing of new ingredients and formulations, shelf life and sensory studies require limited volumes of food products. Th e volume required for these tests is often too low for manufacturers’ own production sites and their lab facilities may not be equipped for food grade production.

Industrial equipmentNIZO has industrial equipment available for all food applications (see table on reverse) to enable a constant product quality and to facilitate up-scaling to your site.
We have equipment for high shear mixing, (high pressure) homogenization, heating (tube, plate, DSI; pasteurisation to UHT) and (a-septic) fi lling. Th e NIZO Processing Centre can produce a broad range of food
applications in limited size batches in an industrial way.
AnalysesStandard microbial and chemical analyses for process and product controll are available on site. NIZO also performs sensory analyses, evaluation of food properties (micro-structure, texture), shelf life assessment, and other technical analyses.
