Toad Fish St. Paddy’s Run By Jean Jones [email protected] BRIDGETON — The News has learned that the lease for the welfare office, located at 518 N. Pearl St., will not be renewed. B it is unknown whether the office will be relocated, consolidated or per- manently closed. Attorney Arnold Robinson, solicitor for the Board of Social Services, noti- fied Cathy Rodriguez, acting director of the office, in February that the lease, enacted in August 2008, would not be renewed. Harry Fiorani, of Equitable Realty, owner if the building, said he has no problem with the decision not to renew the lease. “I have no complaint. It was all done properly,” he said, “but I think the peo- ple should know.” If the local office is closed, clients would be forced to go to the Vineland office, which would be the only one left in the county. The only way to get there for many would be by taxi.
