Dear
I write to you as the director of the New Jersey/ Eastern Pennsylvania/Delaware Higher Education Recruitment Consortium (NJ/EPA/DE HERC). We are a non-profit group of 40 universities, colleges and community colleges in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware that have joined together to provide a single website for job openings in order to make job searches more convenient and efficient for potential staff and faculty. INSERT NAME is a member of NJ/EPA/DE HERC.
Like all of our members, INSERT NAME posts all of its job openings on our website: www.njepadeherc.org. Because all NJ/EPA/DE HERC members post all of their jobs, the website has postings for all types of positions, from the highly specialized to the unskilled. I am enclosing a few posters and some bookmarks with information about our organization. I hope you will be willing to share this information with your students and alumni jobseekers. You should note that many of our member institutions also post internships and research assistantships on the HERC website. In addition, since our members are all institutions of higher education, employees often receive tuition assistance.
As a HERC member institution, your students and alumni are also able to participate in our jobseeker webinars. Our first webinar Keeping Your Options Open: Targeting Your CV for Faculty and Non-Faculty Positions with Phyllis Brust, Ph.D. Director, Greater Chicago HERC and Dual Career Director, University of Chicago (1/20/11) is available under Jobseeker Resources on our website at: http://bc.princeton.edu/flash/4x3.html?videofile=StreamAS/flash/odf/20110120_Keeping_Your_Options_Open.mp4 To be notified of upcoming webinars, your alumni or student job seekers should register on the NJ/Eastern PA/DE HERC site by clicking “Sign In” the upper right hand corner of the home page. I would also be happy to visit and give an overview of HERC for your staff. You might also want to include a link to the site HERC site on your website; if so, let me know and I would be happy to email you the link. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or want more information.
Best,
Gilda Paul Ph.D., Director NJ/Eastern PA/DE HERC
