Pharaoh’s daughter goes to

her cousins wedding, we

noticed when she came out

of the temple that she was

wearing bright blue coloring

and bold black rings around

her eyes, looking flawless.

All of us were wondering

what she was wearing.

Somebody asked her and

she said “it is a sign of

beauty and wealthiness”

We view beauty as a symbol

of holiness. The make-up

that we wear in Ancient

Egypt was said to have

healing powers. But that is a

fact because the lead based

make-up had antibacterial

properties that prevented

infections that are common.

The black eyeliner is made

from lead sulfide called ga-

lena and comes from Gebel

et- Zeit in the desert.

The blush that we wear is

made fro red ochre which is

clay that is tinted naturally.

We use henna for our hair

and finger-nails both and is

put on the toes of our

Pharaohs before they get

mummified. But many of

our cosmetics were dan-

gerous because they con-

tain many ingredients such

as mercury and lead.

We are against graying

and hair loss so we shave

our heads and wear wigs.

We believe if we have

nicely colored hair then it

will preserve our age and

keep us young.

Many of us have beads in

our wigs because it keeps

them on our heads.

The eye-make up that she was wearing.

This shows how the wig is held on.

New Form of Learning Discovered

New forms of learning discovered!

Chris Carter & Nathanael Wise

Mathematicians

discovered a new

form of math,

which they will use

to build the Great

Pyramids. Also, a

new number sys-

tem was made by

using pictures. A

new counting sys-

tem was formed

last week when

Ogma tried to

keep his farm sep-

arate. He said, that

“I found out a new

counting system

that helps count

bushels, animals and

crops. When they ac-

tually discovered it

they said it would be

useful for many

things. They also said

the teacher that

found it was actually

counting the crops

and wheat. He said

“I was counting the

wheat and crops

when I and a friend

found out it would

be easier to

count by tens

and so on.”

They also said

It’s easier to

keep track of

the amount of

animals, crops,

and bushels.

This is a sample of the number systems that they used.

Some of pharaohs well

known scientist may have

found a way to tell the days,

when the Nile will flood, and

the movement of the planets

by the use of the sun and

other tools! This could

change what days you plant

your crops on!

“We wanted to have an exact

day on when the Nile would

flood! So we consulted the

sun god Ra.” says one of the

scientists responsible for this

discovery of ‘astronomy’. So

they found that the move-

ment of the sun does tell you

what day of the year it is! So

fellas, if you ever think you

might be doing over time,

here’s a

surefire way to make sure you

get paid for it! Scientist also

discovered that there are 365

days in one year. According to

research, the sun will rise in

the same place every day but

in different positions. When

the sun is in the same place it

started, it has been one year.

By figuring this out we can

now predict what day the

Nile will flood. Scientists also

say that this will help orient

the pyramids.

The two objects that the as-

tronomers used to make this

discovery is

A merkhet and a sundial. A

merkhet works by,

using a string with a weight on

the end to measure a straight,

vertical line accurately. . A

Merkhets is used to establish a

north-south line by lining them

up with the pole star. This al-

lowed for the measurement of

night-time hours as it measured

when certain stars crossed a

marked meridian on the sundial.

A sundial works by, combining

the use of gnomons (shadow

casting instruments) with scales

to produce sundials, which tell

time by measuring the length

and direction of the shadow

cast by the sun.

Scientists discovered this be-

cause it will make it easier to

predict when to start to harvest

crops. This will also give us the

exact day when religious holi-

days fall on.

So thanks to pharaohs’ scientists

we can plan ahead when to

plant and harvest crops, when

to prepare for religious dates

and a way to orient the pyra-

mids and make sure the founda-

tion is correct. So come join

pharaoh at the next festival.

Pharaoh Johns wife has Become Very ill

By: Kylie Stottle-

myer and Samuel Perez

Have you heard

the news? What’s the

next step after seeing

her in public very ill?

She was seen wearing

an amulet. Which

means it will stand for

some kind of illness

trying to make her

better and give them a

certain power and

form of protection.

Will this work? Would

the doctor be better

off to try herbs? We

have no clue yet what

it could be yet! We

have a view of what

we may think it could

be.

If it would have been an infec-

tion we could have used honey.

But we are sure it

is not just an in-

fection by looking

at the symptoms.

We have been

able to find them

giving her Cori-

ander and

Herbs to get

rid of the pain. We know it

does not involve her being

pregnant. Her husband also

has been giving her a lot of

garlic to give her strength to

keep moving around so she

doesn’t just lay in pain. She has

not had that bad of a cough

but we still tried putting Hibis-

cus by her bath tub. We are

afraid that she may be having

Cardiovascular problems

though. In order to lower cho-

lesterol, inhibit strokes, and

combat heart diseases we fed

her onions.

Because, as you know

they are spherical

shape and concentric

rings that symbolize

eternal life. But what

we don’t know is how

would this tie into the

pain in her stomach?

We don’t know! We

do know she has being

wearing the amulet

for strength which is

wedjet eye or eye of

Horus, was believed to

provide strength, pro-

tection, and good

health. We are hoping

this may help her but

we never know. We

will keep you updated

as we find more infor-

mation out.

These are amulets. These had special powers.

Pharaoh orders thousands to build

new triangular structure!

Thousands of the Egyptian

city’s people were found cre-

ating a perfect square out-

line while using some kind of

blueprints while under the

Pharaoh’s control.

“I heard one of the Phar-

aoh’s officials saying that it

was a new form of afterlife

for our Pharaoh.” Said a local

worker while guzzling down

a large tankard of beer as an

award for working so hard.

First they had to carve cut

and shape blocks of lime-

stone. Soon, they dug tun-

nels in the ground which

ended in rock-lined tombs.

Then, they began construc-

tion to build the actual pyra-

mid its self. They used chis-

els, pickaxes, saws, and drills

made of copper and bronze.

They also used wooden

blocks, levers, and sledges to

make the limestone blocks,

and then shipped off and

transported through the Nile

camel meat, fish, potatoes,

and chocolate. They were al-

so encouraged by opportuni-

ty of becoming priest for a

day, competing in gangs,

days off, rewards of gold,

quarrying granite, etc. Work-

ers were also given supplies

to get through the day .

such as eyeliner, pil-

lows, bathtubs, body

oil, and linen clothing.

Masons used wooden

floats to smooth plaster

on the walls. Sculptors,

stoneworkers, used

mallets and hammers

made of wood or stone

to further shape the

stone. For entertain-

ment, the men

played board games

such as dice, senet.

Men also hunted ani-

mals such as hippos

and crocodiles. Senet

is a game that is a

pre-cursor to check-

ers, and it was played

on a board with three

rows of ten squares.

To encourage workers

to keep putting effort

into work, they were

given extra rations of

beer, bread, onions,

These are the tools they used to shape and

carve the stone bricks.

This is a blueprint found in the worker’s

barracks and is believed to be what this

new after-life passage will look like.

mins Many of the paintings used

with fresco are of gods or

goddesses. Many new Egyp-

tians are starting to use this

method of the adhesives

with their sculptures, pyra-

mids, fancy clothing, and

other items. Quote from our

main source; “Fresco was

one of our more simple crea-

tions made from lime, clay/

water mixture, and the dye

of the color fresco you want,

Its very simple.”

Pharaoh Hatshepsut unveils

her newly made pyramid

with many different beautiful

color schemes and hiero-

glyphs; we demanded infor-

mation of who created these

beautiful sculptures. We

were brought to an Egyptian

sculptor that mixed the dye

with a wet thin plaster mixed

with lime that can easily be

molded into the carvings of

the sculptures and walls. The

creator of this material also

used this plaster for murals

and other types of paintings.

This creation of new

artwork will boom our

businesses in dye, clay,

and sculptures and is

massively growing as

we speak! A new story

has came up that the

true creator of the fres-

co Is now giving lessons

for how to create and

market sculptures, the

service for putting it on

the hieroglyphs, or

making the fresco

alone. The art market is

quickly rising with this

new creation of plaster.

This also creates a

whole new perspective

for hieroglyphs and can

show a lot more sym-

bolization in sculptures

and pictures!
