NOTIFICATION

,No. SO(Commerce)24-1/13(P). Pursuant to the approval of Chief Minister,

Punjab, the services of following 508 Contract Employees (Teaching & Non-Teaching

8S-16 & Above) belonging to Commerce Stream already appointed I recruited under

the terms & conditions of TEVTA Service Rules, who were transferred from TEVTA to

Higher Education Department on 31-07-2012 and consequently whose terms &

conditions of contract employment were protected under Contract Appointment Policy,

2004 of Govt. of the Punjab in relaxation of Punjab Public Service Commission Rules

vide Notifications No. SO (Commerce) 24-1/2013, dated 28-07-2015, upon the

recommendations of Scrutiny Committee constituted as per analogy of Govt.

Notification No. DS(O&M) (S&GAO)5-3/2004/CONTRACT(MF) Dated 28-02-2012, are

now hereby REGULARIZED with effect from 01~08-2017, in relaxation of Rule 16 of

the Punjab Civil Servants (Appointment and Conditions of Services) Rules, 1974, Rule

5 of the Punjab Public Service Commission (Functions) Rules, 1978 and policy letter

No.DS/(O&M)(S8lGAO)5-3/2013 dated 01-03-2013. However the aforesaid policy

letter dated 01~03-2013 shall be relaxed in the instant case to the extent of these 508

Commerce Stream contract employees only.

2. Forthwith, their services shall be governed under Punjab Civil Servant Act,

1974 and the Punjab Civil Servants (Appointment and Conditions of Services) Rules,

1974.

3. The Officers shall enjoy protecti-on of pay and allowances they are drawing

according to theIr respective pay scales except Social Security Benefits of 30%

admissible under the Contract Appointment Policy, 2004. In case of any anomaly the

matter will be resolved in consultation with the Finance Department, Govt. of the

Pu~ab. (
