Hello my name is Shelley Harris.im married to a wonderful man-Johnny Harris- whom also works with children close at hand. He has his Masters in education and a PPS credentials in high risk children. I have three beautiful children-Keith, Franky and Petra and seven grandchildren- whom I adore. . I also Love animal. I have three dogs, two chows named Bear and Joy- father and daughter and Yorkshire terrier named Sasha and two lover birds- Roberto and Girl. Roberto does tricks and loves jewelry. I have been doing childcare since November of 1989 and I understand the difficulties in finding good, quality care for your child. I feel I have the love, knowledge, patience, and experience in order to provide a warm, simulating and loving environment in which your child can learn and glow. My love and knowledge about children started from the time I was a small girl. I took care of a family at the age of 11 years old. The father and mother had to work, leaving there small children in my care, because they could afford childcare. I also had other babysitting jobs, mostly infants. I looked after my nephews and my mother friend’s children as I was growing up. Of course now my own children are older and grown. In 1989, by me loving children as much as I do, including my own, I finally found my gift and purpose in life. They have given me the reason to start up my own home day care. My purpose is to give all children individual attention, education and a safe environment, help them reach their development sages as well. I am a credentialed preschool teacher-seven years- and worked has a head teacher in Kedren Head Start program of the Los Angeles Unified School District. My mother was a pioneer for Kedren Head Start when head start became an important tool in a preschool setting. Also I have received a certificate in early childhood education and administration; having done so I have accomplished 48 units in total though Cerritos College and continuously attend workshops to further my education. I belong to the follow organizations: Compton Association Organization for Childcare Providers; Red Leaf Press Organization; NAEYC Organization; Department of Children And Family Services’ have been trained by the Red Cross in infant child and adult CPR and First Aid. I’m proud to be part of the growing field of early childhood education My full dedication and love is given to all children in my care with a guarantee of trust and satisfaction from the parents and also hope to bring a peace of mind and support to all the parents and families by providing a safe, warm and loving environment. This is truly the place you want your child to be! I would love to meet you and your child!

Noah’s Ark Family child care is a family that values people. The children in our care, their parents and our employees, we continually work to earn the trust placed in us. We strive each day to be the best providers of early childhood care education. We are a child care service designated vendor with a four star rating. One of the main requirements at Noah’s Ark Child Care is that each of our child care workers must take a course in Child Safety and First Aid and be crime free (will have a back ground checks). We encourage our staff to pursue higher education in early child development and education. We have great staff. We want you to have a peace of mind that comes from knowing your child is being taken care of by teacher who I commented to excellence and who loves children

A POEM FROM 2 YOU!Although I’m not their mother

I care for them each day

I cuddle, sing and read to them, and watch

them as they play

I see each new accomplishment, and help

them grow and learn

I understand their language and I listen

with concern.

They come to me for comfort and I kiss

away their tears

They proudly show their work to me

I give the loudest cheers

Know I’m not their mother

But my role is just as strong

I nurture them and keep them safe though

maybe not for long

I know some day the time may come that

we will have to part. But I know each

child I’ve cared for is forever in my heart
