Background to project

NOE CPC has retendered for this new framework which replaces the former framework for the provision of Radiopharmaceuticals.

NHS CPC had an historic radiopharmaceuticals framework which was due to end 31st March 2011. The existing framework which had been extended to cover trusts within the Yorkshire and the Humber region and had appeared to have worked extremely well. Trusts had expressed a desire for the replacement framework contract to be put in place from the end of the current contract which offered fair pricing and innovation. The replacement framework would also include the provision of FDG for the use in PET.

The sourcing process

The Sourcing Group consisted of Consultant Medical Physicists,Heads of Nuclear Medicine, Business Managers as well as purchasing professionals whom together have evaluated the specification and the tenders received to ensure that only the highest quality service and supply will be delivered via this framework.
