Executive summary
This document outlines the products, special pricing and discounts available from six named suppliers for the supply of Radiopharmaceuticals and related consumables.
This contract is available to NHS trusts who are members of NOE CPC and the LPP trusts whom assisted in the procurement process.
These products are available for an initial period of 36 months from 1st June 2014 to 31st May 2017. This may be extended for a further period of 1 x 12 months.
The products listed are the result of a restricted tender procedure.

Background to project
NOE CPC has retendered for this new framework which replaces the former framework for the provision of Radiopharmaceuticals.
NHS CPC had an historic radiopharmaceuticals framework which was due to end 31st March 2011. The existing framework which had been extended to cover trusts within the Yorkshire and the Humber region and had appeared to have worked extremely well. Trusts had expressed a desire for the replacement framework contract to be put in place from the end of the current contract which offered fair pricing and innovation. The replacement framework would also include the provision of FDG for the use in PET.
The sourcing process
The Sourcing Group consisted of Consultant Medical Physicists,Heads of Nuclear Medicine, Business Managers as well as purchasing professionals whom together have evaluated the specification and the tenders received to ensure that only the highest quality service and supply will be delivered via this framework.

The robust restricted tendering process has ensured that the NHS North of England Commercial Procurement collaborative has a reliable, flexible framework which is responsive to its customer’s needs. The suppliers have unique products that enhance patient care and meet the ever increasing demands of healthcare professionals.
All pricing is fixed for the initial 3 years of the framework. (FDG 2 years)
Market testing
Through participating in this contract trusts can demonstrate that they haverobustly market tested this key area.
Offers trusts a ‘one-stop-shop’
Trusts ultimately have access to all suppliers and media within the framework and can opt to use any product during the life of the contract giving clinicians choice and flexibility to choose from the largest range of radiopharmacutical products & consumables suppliers in the UK
Cost saving opportunities
Through preferential framework call-off and further competition prices.
Contract management
On-going central support of NOE CPC will be provided to all involvedstakeholders throughout the life of this framework.

• Generators• Dry Kits• Radiopharmaceuticals• Therapy Capsules• PET• Generator accessories, secondary shielding, elution tools, saline, vials
and returns paperwork provided FOC (£7k worth of accessories FOC with each generator)
• Specific dedicated account managers• Guaranteed service and support.

North of England Commercial Procurement Collaborative (NOE CPC) is hosted by Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT) and provides collaborative and bespoke procurement solutions to the publicsector. What we do
NOE CPC provides collaborative procurement and commercial solutions to the public sector. NOE CPC is one of the leading players in collaborative procurement within the NHS in England. Since establishment in 2007 a range of procurement and commercial services have been developed to support our customers. The primary role is to help them to function more efficiently through cost effective collaborative procurement. We work with our customers both collectively and individually to build an understanding of what they and their patients need. We then use our expertise to deliver procurement contract and framework solutions that drive down costs and provide better customer and patient experiences.
We provide compliance through commitment and partnership. We’re ableto do this by drawing on our rich and varied capabilities as well as strengthof relationships with our members and suppliers. NOE CPC also has a strong e-commerce and information function which encompasses the management of e-solutions such as an eCatalogue Solution, an eSourcing Portal and an online Business Reporting Portal. These technologies support us in our drivefor procurement effi ciencies for both ourselves and our members.
At NOE CPC we have an expert team of data analysts to support both internal and external customers which works to support our procurement team in identifying collaborative and bespoke opportunities.
