George Leroux Nominated as a member

Roger Dyment, of Dundas, is a third generation dairy farmer and served as chair of the Ontario Dairy Herd Improvement Corporation and as president of the Western Ontario Breeders Incorporation. He is currently vice-president, North Waterloo Farmers' Mutual Insurance Company.

George Leroux, of London, is the president of Cold Springs Farm Limited in Thamesford, Ontario and has been involved in various management positions within the company since 1986. He holds an M. B. A. degree from the University of Western Ontario and a B. Sc. (Agr.) from the University of B. C.

Dolores Blonde, of Windsor, is the director of research at the University of Windsor Faculty of Law and a commercial mediator at the Canadian Dispute Resolution Corporation. She is a member of the Windsor Media Council, the Windsor-Essex County Development Commission, Strategic Planning and Research Committee and a former member of the Editorial Board, Faculty Advisor Windsor Review of Legal and Social Issues Volume 1 and Volume 2.

She is a former chair of the Crime Prevention Committee of Brandon, Manitoba, former member of the Community Legal Education Association of Manitoba and the Ontario Association of Criminology and Corrections, Ottawa Branch.

Dale Dreher, of Toronto, is a human rights consultant with the Equal Opportunity Division, Management Services Department, City of Toronto and previous to this she was investigations conciliation officer, Investigations and Appeals Branch, Public Service Commission of Canada, Ontario Region.

Elena Khu, of Toronto, is currently a senior financial analyst, Financial Planning, Workplace Health and Safety Agency, Ontario and has been employed in various positions involving marketing, property management and real estate. She has volunteered at the McMichael Museum and the Art Gallery of Ontario.

James Spence, of Toronto, is a graduate of the Acadia University, Nova Scotia and the Ontario College of Art, Toronto. He has lectured at various educational institutions including Acadia University, Dundas Valley School of Art, Dundas, McMaster University, Hamilton, Banff School of Art, Banff Alberta, the University of Toronto, The National Gallery of Canada, Ottawa and the Art Gallery of Winnipeg. Mr. Spence has also been involved in many exhibitions relating to various forms of art work.

Larry J. Pearson Nominated as a member

Larry J. Pearson, of Guelph, is president and chief operating officer of Linamar Corporation in Guelph. He joined Linamar as controller in 1980. Mr. Pearson is a past director and remains an active member of the Guelph Chamber of Commerce where he chaired the Industrial Section. He initiated the School Workplace Apprenticeship Program (SWAP) in Guelph high schools and was recently appointed to the Sectoral Advisory Group on International Trade for Transportation Equipment by the federal Minister of International Trade.

Catherine (Trina) McQueen Kamil J. Khan Maureen Kempston Darkes Nominated as members

Catherine (Trina) McQueen, of Willowdale, is president and general manager of The Discovery Channel. Ms McQueen spent twenty-five years with the CBC beginning as an on-air reporter. She held senior management positions in entertainment programming, business operations and advertising sales and, most recently, was vice­president of Regional Broadcasting Operations.

Kamil J. Khan, of Toronto, is president and chief executive officer of Bell SYGMA Inc. He began his career with Bell Canada in 1967 and served in all systems and communications disciplines for the company, rising from the technical ranks to vice­president of operations development in 1985. He is a founder of the Information Technology Network which sponsors the growth of start-up high tech companies in Ontario.

Maureen Kempston Darkes, of Oshawa, is president and general manager of General Motors of Canada Ltd. She joined General Motor's legal staff in 1975, specializing in tax issues, advancing to the position of vice-president corporate affairs and general counsel prior to assuming her present position.

Cecile Senechal Nominated as a member

Cecile Senechal, of Elliot Lake, is an elementary school teacher. She served as chair of the Employee Assistance Program Committee for the North Shore Separate School Board. Ms. Senechal volunteered with the Big Sisters in Elliot Lake.

Mari Creal Nominated as a member

Mari Creal, of Toronto, is coordinator of a psychiatric consumer I survivor driven cleaning business that provides employment to people who have been in the mental health system. She is the vice-chair of the board of a consumer I survivor driven social recreation program. Ms. Creal served as a member of the Hospital Restructuring Mental Health Task Force of the Metropolitan Toronto District Health Council.

Halton District Health Council

Robert C. Henderson Nominated as a member

Robert Henderson, of Oakville, graduated from the Waterloo Lutheran University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He owns and operates RCH Communications, specializing in community relations, communications and consultation programs. Mr. Henderson is the founding director and vice president of Operations of the International Association of Public Participation Practitioners.

Thomas Deline, of Madoc, is the Reeve of the Village of Madoc, and is the nominee of the County of Hastings. He is a member of the Hornes for the Aged Committee for the County of Hastings and served as a member of the Belleville General Hospital.

Sally Freeman, of Trenton, is an Alderman for the City of Trenton, who works as a real estate agent and is the nominee of the City for the DHC. She is chair of the Waste Management Committee, member of the Quinte Area Economic Development Committee and member of the 911 Emergency System Committee.

William Greer, of Picton, is the Reeve of the Village of Wellington, who is the owner I operator of William Greer Farms and the nominee of the County of Prince Edward. He is vice-chair of the Loyalist Parkway, volunteer member of the Prince Edward Community Fixtures and Business Development Corporation, and a promoter of tourism and heritage preservation.

Anna Brisson, of Nobel, is nominated by the Township of Carling, and works as a Registered Nurse with the St. Joseph's Hospital. She served as a member of the Recycling Subcommittee of the Carling Township Council.

Julia Fraser, of Rosseau, is nominated by the Township of Humphrey, and has worked as clerk-treast.lrer for the Township. She served as chair and member of the Welfare Board of the Children's Aid Society, member of the Muskoka Parry Sound Health Unit, and member of the Long Term Care Committee at Belvedere Heights.

Charlotte Cotnam-Isea, of Pembroke graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree. She works part-time as a caseworker for youths in residential homes providing guidance in their academic and personal growth. Ms Cotnam-Isea is coordinator of the coin box program for the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario.

Susan Coulas, of Barry's Bay, is a registered nurse employed at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in Barry's Bay. She is a member of the Fiscal Advisory Committee and serves on a number of inter-Hospital committees and as president of the ONA Council.

John Epps, of Pembroke, is a self employed physician/ anaesthetist. He served as medical director of Harmony House Rehabilitation Program providing medical care to residents.

Izett McBride, of Westmeath, is a self-employed real estate salesperson and is a member of the Proposal Review Committee of the District Health Council and chair of the Advisory Committee of Westmeath Joint School Proposal. He serves as a member of the Steering Committee. for the District Health Council and of the Pembroke Civic Hospital Board.

Claude Tourigny, of Pembroke, is supervisor of Employment Programs and Services with Human Resources Development Canada. He is a member of the Long Term Care Task Force of the District Health Council, of the Special Education Advisory Committee of the Renfrew County Roman Catholic Separate School Board and co-chair of the Youth activities of the Royal Canadian Legion.
