Resource Center for Accessible Living (RCAL) and friends will be honoring and celebrating the contributions of

individuals, businesses, and organizations who help make our community more accessible and inclusive for all.

Nominations are Open for 2020The awards recognize the achievements and contributions of individuals, businesses and organi-zations promoting accessibility, inclusion and full community participation by citizens with dis-abilities. Award recipients can include individuals, companies, agencies, government and other organizations that have created opportunities for people with disabilities to participate more fully in their workplaces, schools and volunteer organizations.

Nominate someone!Please take the time to nominate a friend, colleague, client, employee, business, or employer who deserves to be celebrated! Consider nominating individuals or organizations whose accom-plishments have yet to be publicly acknowledged. Please review our award categories fill out the attached award form with information about the person/organization you are nominating. Joan Gundersen Founder’s Award This award, named in honor of RCAL’s founder, Joan Gundersen, with deep appreciation for her work, honors an individual who has either founded, or has been instrumental in building and developing, a human service organization that has become a valued place of service delivery for our community.

Corporate | Business Partner Award This award honors a business or corporation that has demonstrated consistent, meaningful generosity in support of the ideal that individuals have the right to live their lives as independently as possible in the community, and that expresses that commitment through accessiblity and inclusivity in their own business operations.

Outstanding Agency Award This award honors a human services agency or organization that has provided its services with respect, integrity and commitment, in a manner accessible to, and inclusive of, all individuals in the community.

Individual Advocate Award This award honors an individual who, in a volun- teer capacity, strives for and supports independence, choice, accessibility and participation in all aspects of life for all members of our community.
