Nuclear Power

• Nuclear power is the use of sustained nuclear fission to generate heat and electricity

• Nuclear power plants provide about 6% of the world's energy

• 13–14% of the world's electricity is provided by nuclear power

• U.S., France, and Japan together account for about 50% of nuclear generated electricity.

Hazmat suit

• A hazmat suit is an impermeable garment that covers the whole body,

• It is worn as a protection from hazardous materials.

• A hazmat suit is generally combined with breathing apparatus for protection and may be used by firefighters, emergency personnel responding to toxic spills, researchers, specialists cleaning up contaminated facilities, or workers in toxic environments.

Symptoms

• Hematopoietic- drop in the number of blood cells, called aplastic anemia.

• Gastrointestinal- Nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, and abdominal pain are usually seen within two hours.

• Neurovascular- dizziness, headache, or decreased level of consciousness, occurring within minutes to a few hours, and with an absence of vomiting. It is invariably fatal.
