Instructor Boat Control Grant

Goal: Instructor Boat Control Grant

• Train instructors and they, in turn, will train recreational boaters in the national on-the-water “Boat Control” curriculum for power boats.

• The instructor training courses will increase the number of certified and trained instructors.

• These newly certified instructors will then train approximately 1,000 others in the curriculum in the short-term.

Grant Deliverables

Four Courses• Florida – March 26-28, 2015: 15 New Instructors• Texas – May 12-14, 2015:15 New Instructors• Washington – TBD: 15 New Instructors• Maryland – Oct. 20-22, 2015: 15 New Instructors

Two State Courses by Previous Trainers• Connecticut – June 8-10, 2015: 10 New

Instructors• Ohio – Oct. 7-9, 2015: 10 New Instructors
