O INTRODUCTION
During the month of June, 1984, ground VLF-FM and magnetic surveys were carried out on the claims on the Dempster Lake property in an attempt to locate and define any anomalous electromagnetic and/or magnetic responses.
2.0 LOCATION, ACCESS AND GRID (Figures l and 2)
The property consists of 15 claims (numbered 732427-435 and 732497-502 in the Patricia Mining Division, claim map M2513) located 36 miles southwest of Pickle Lake as shown on Figure 1. A claim map of the area is shown on Figure 2. Access to the property is by float or ski plane from Pickle Lake or Sioux Lookout.
The grid consist of a 1.9 km long picket lines of approximately 1.3 km in established at 125m and 100m intervals spacing of 12.5 meters.
base line with 17 flaggedlength. Piiket lines wereas shown, with a station
3.O PERSONNEL
The overall supervision of the work was under D. R. Carriere, Division Geophysicist, while the work was carried out by I. Perry with L. Hanson and S. Moran assisting. All are employees of Nor an da Exploration.

The M F - 2 fluxgate magnetometer manufactured by Scintrex Limited of Concord Ontario was utilized on this survey. This instrument has an accuracy of 20 nts. The data was corrected for diurnal variation by checking into predetermined points along the baseline at intervals of less than 2 hours. The Vertical magnetic field was measured. The data has been contoured on a 1:1250 scale with contours at every 1000 nts.
5.0 GEOLOGY
This area is underlain by intermediate volcanics to the north of the base line w hi ile to the south t hi e area is underlain by a series of volcanic, volea no-sedimen t a ry and sedimentary rocks with some basalts. The units strike 50 to 65 degrees and dip from vertical to 75 degrees on the north hall of l:he property while on the south the dip is vertical.
6.O DISCUSSION OF RESULTS
The results of the mag survey, as presented on Map l, indicate a variation from over 21,000 to -200 nts. The background level ranges from 500 to 1200 nts. The best defined feature is the east./west trending mag high, labelled "A", between lines 3E and 15W. The zone is about 125m wide but consists of numerous smaller zones labelled "Al" through "A3", indicating that the anomaly is probably produced by numerous bands of magnetite throughout the zone.
In the west central part of the grid is another mag high, labelled "B ;l , which extends off the grid. This response is also considered to be shallow. This zone trends north/east. It's source is also probably magnetite.
Zone "C" on the southern part of the property is an east/west trending linear feature which may be related to a g eological change.
Zone "D" in the center part of the grid runs parallel to the power line. It is felt that the data in this area may be influenced by the power line and the date, is not considered reliable.
In the northern part of the grid the magnetics trend north/east while on the southern part of the property the trend is east/west. This is probably defining the contact b e t w e ? n the volcanics and the sediments. Also in the northwestern part of the grid the magnetics alternate between 600 to 1400 nts. This nay be indicating bands of felsic and mafic volcanics.
The results of the Fraser Filtered VLF data are presented on Map 2. The power line has created a large response which is interfering with other responses. The response labelled "A" appears to be related to the mag high "A", but the strike length is much shorter. Another possible zone of interest is labelled "B". It is not clear if this response is real or not as it is very close to the anomaly caused by the powerline, but it may be of some interest.
The other anomalies on the property are related to swamps and pographic features and are not felt to be of any interest.
7.0 CONCLUSIONS
The results of the present work indicate that there are some very high concentrations of magnetite on the property which may be associated with conductive zones. As the area of most interest is along the western part of the power line it is felt that more geophysical work would not assist greatly in better defining the target.

Notice of Intent
for Technical Reports
1984 10 30 2.7016/84-108
An examination of your survey report indicates that the requirements of The Ontario Mining Act have not been fully met to warrant maximum assessment work credits. This notice is merely a warning that you will not be allowed the number of assessment work days credits that you expected and also that in approximately 15 days from the above date, the mining recorder will be authorized to change the entries on his record sheets to agree with the enclosed statement. Please note that until such time as the recorder actually changes the entry on the record sheet, the status of the claim remains unchanged.
If you are of the opinion that these changes by the mining recorder will jeopardize your claims, you may during the next fifteen days apply to the Mining and Lands Commissioner for an extension of time. Abstracts should be sent with your application.
If the reduced rate of credits does not jeopardize the status of the claims then you need not seek relief from the Mining and Lands Commissioner and this Notice of Intent may be disregarded.
If your survey was submitted and assessed under the "Special Provision-Performance and Coverage" method and you are of the opinion that a re-appraisal under the "Man-days" method would result in the approval of a greater number of days credit per claim, you may, within the said fifteen day period, submit assessment work breakdowns listing the employees names, addresses and the dates and hours they worked. The new work breakdowns should be submitted direct to the Land Management Branch, Toronto. The report will be re-assessed and a new statement of credits based on actual days worked will be issued.
