Movies in the Park Fostering Strong Communities

Since Fall of 2011, over 5,000 people have attended 52 family-friendly movies in neighborhood parks all across New Orleans. All movies are on Friday evenings. Movies start at dusk, but come early to relax with friends and family. Thank you to NOPD!

Basketball Season Ends with Championship Games March 8 and 9 1,092 participants at 28 playgrounds Girl Divisions Sophomore: Cut-Off Lady Warriors defeated Kenilworth Lady Chiefs Senior: Fisher Lady Eagles defeated Milne Lady Raiders Boy Divisions Freshmen: McCue Eagles defeated Cut-Off Warriors Sophomore: Willie Hall Panthers defeated Harrell Rams Junior: Kenilworth Chiefs defeated Willie Hall Panthers Senior: Behrman Green Machine defeated Willie Hall Panthers All participants received individual trophies. Half-time performances by NORDC All-Star Cheerleaders

Track & Field Season April 3-May 4 Division Ages for Boys and Girls Novice 5-6 Freshman 7-8 Sophomore 9-10 Junior 11-12 Senior 13-14 All participants will compete in three locations: • Harrell Stadium • Behrman Stadium • Victory Track in Joe W. special performance projects through the Chevron Master Artist Series.

NORDC/NOBA Band Invited to Participate in the 24th Annual UMOJA Village Parade April 6, 2013 at Congo Square in Armstrong Park The parade starts at 10am from Basin & Treme Streets. This event celebrates the best of our community’s culture and heritage.
