DESCRIPTION
Pump casingWith volute casing it incorporates a wear ring. The casing to coversealing is effected by means of an embedded gasket.
Suction and discharge flangesIntegrally cast with the casing, constructed to DIN-2501, crackle-finished "RF" to DIN-2526 form C. Valid for connecting to commer-cial flanges DIN PN-10/16 (except for sizes 150/200 and 150/250, inthis cases only PN-10).
Auxiliary connectionsThe standard version carries two connections: one for vent/primingor pressure gauge and other for drainage, both of them drilled andclosed off with plugs.
Pump coverCast in one piece, of integral design with the seal. It incorporates therear wear ring.
Wear ringsAll models incorporate two wear rings: in the casing and in thecover, in order to avoid expensive repairs and to reduce their costs.
ImpellerClosed impeller, cast in one piece, hydraulically and dynamicallybalanced. Hydraulically relieved by means of the axial thrust com-pensation drill holes, it is keyed to the shaft and locked by means oftwo nuts.
Pump shaftIt is independent of the motor shaft, both jointed by means of a rigidcoupling. It is provided with a replaceable shaft sleeve, sealed withthe shaft itself by means of a toroidal seal. Thus, changing the shaftcan be avioded, in the case of wear or abrasion in the sealing area,in this way achieving quick and cheap maintenance.
Mechanical sealStandardized to DIN-24960. The material used in the contactingfaces and in the joints depends upon the liquid to be pumped (clea-ning, aggressiveness, abrasion, ...). API-01 plan of internal circulation.
Electric motorStandardized to I.E.C., squirrel cage rotor, totally inclosed fan coo-led, with IP-55 protection and isolation class F. Standard version for3-phase at 50 Hz. They can be supplied at 60 Hz on request.
Single-stage horizontal centrifugal electropumps, with axial suctionand radial discharge, the pumps construction is based on the standardDIN-24255, with mechanical seal, and the motors standardized toI.E.C.
These pumps are based on the sturdy design of IN Series (NORMA),in close-coupling design, via rigid coupling. The characteristics of theNormabloc N- Series are:
- High hydraulic efficiency.- Compact design, small space.- Several mounting positions.- Standardized motors according to I.E.C.- Standardized mechanical seals according to DIN.- Standardized parts with high degree of interchangeability.- Minimal and rapid maintenance.

INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE
Mounting positionsThe Normabloc N- electropumps can be installed with the shaft inany plane: horizontal, sloping or vertical position, but the motor mustalways be above the pump, and never beneath it.
On the other hand, in the construction versions C or D, as well asmounting position, the casing without feet permit arrange the deliveryflange in different directions.
Dismount the casing and turn it 45o or 90o on the right or left hand, forobtain five differents delivery flange directions.
Piping connectionsBy means of flanges DIN PN-10. Fluid speed in the suction pipe mustbe smaller than 2 m/s, and in the delivery pipe must be smaller than 3m/s. So, it is recommendable to use a difuser cone at the inlet andanother at the outlet of the pump.
Flange positionsIn cases of construction version B, due to the securing feet, only ispossible to obtain different flange directions changing the mountingposition.
Ease of maintenanceThe pump disassembling is very easy and simple.
There exist 7 different Versions of the highest quality standardized materials. Other materials are possible on request.

The third Table indicating the interchangeability of many commonparts, identic at the same parts included in the IN Series (Norma DIN-24255).
The standardization of parts and materials of the Normabloc N- Seriesmakes possible a high number of common and interchangeable partsbetween the different electropumps.
This standardization infers an operational saving in costs, since itminimises the stock of parts required to guarantee the efficient main-tenance of many different models of pump.
It is a series based on the Standard DIN-24255, so there are manycommon parts with the similar parts of IN-Series of ITUR Pumps.In the first Table are indicated common pump shafts (ref. 210), and
