    What not to wear: Chamber EditionSome familiar faces hit

    the runway at the What Notto Wear: Chamber Editionfashion show on October10th. Representatives fromvarious Chamber memberorganizations enjoyed beinga model for the day, whichincluded having hair andmakeup done by the glamsquad from Kenneth ShulerSchool of Cosmetology, andstrutting on the runway inbusiness fa shions providedby ofcial fash ion partnerBelk of North Augusta. Thefashion show focused onbusiness at tire fa shion dosand donts. Hosts RechelleDallas of The North AugustaStar and Bennett Pappas ofHome 2 Suites by Hiltonprovided commentary (andlots of laughs) during theshow. Models provided aphoto of a fashion dontand Belk provided fantas-tic looks for fashion dosin the workplace. Looksfeatured were: Interview,Business Casual, After Five/Cocktail Party, CompanyPicnic and Board Meeting.

    Attendees enjoyed a deli-cious lunch provided by

    Sticky Fingers of Augusta,as well as a short presenta-tion on business dining eti-quette presented by LindsayThetford, Junior League ofAugusta. After the fash-ion show the winner of theChamber Business DivaMakeover, Jennifer Labadieof After Hours Appliance,revealed her new look on therunway while being escortedby Scott Rodgers of TheNorth Aug usta Sta r. Thanksto Kenneth Shuler and Belkof North Augusta for treat-ing Jennifer like a true divafor the day!

    Artist of the MonthNovember 2013

    Sally Van Peursem is the ar tist for Novem-

    ber. Sally started painting with watercol-

    ors in 2009 in painting classes with a local

    Augusta artist, Jim Gensheer. She moved

    across the river to North Augusta in 2011

    and joined the North Augusta Artist Guild

    in 2012. She continues to take occasionalwatercolor classes with a North Augusta

    artist, Dr. Suzanne Thigpen. Sally works

    full time as a medical transcriptionist and

    tries to paint in her spare time. Some of

    her paintings are on display at the North

    Augusta Chamber this month.
