Preface | 前言

Dear Valued Company Leaders, HR Executives and Career Movers,

Companies which have ambitious goals know that success can only be achieved by the own peoples’ efforts. But is it really necessary to train the own staff, is it worth the costs?

A CFO once said in an internal management meeting, “What happens if we train our staff and they leave?” The HR Head responded: “What happens if we don’t and they stay?” And the CEO just smiled…

To recruit the right people is a good start, but only the enhancement of the own staff’s competencies and skills can lead to a powerful work force. This especially holds true for German and other foreign companies in China, where the market challenges and dynamics make it necessary that employees constantly adapt to changing business environments.

The new Training Brochure 2019 comprises many important classical as well as new and state-of-the-art trainings and workshops. Company “leaders” for instance need to be experts in leadership in whatever situation, so “Leading in Different Scenarios” (page 10) is part of our new training portfolio. A rise in global mobility enables international and cooperation across cultural and regional borders. Working in virtual environment is our reality. However, misunderstanding and obstacles can happen more often.

The variety and particularities of European business etiquette can often be a challenge for Chinese employees sent to Europe for meetings, trainings, or negotiations, particularly if they have never worked abroad. In this workshop, we explain the principles of European business etiquette with a focus on Germany, France and the UK from a European perspective and depict differences to Chinese business etiquette. The course will help the participants to successfully anticipate the expectations of their European business partners.

There is always and still space to improve and leverage on the hidden potential underneath in Chinese-German collaborations, regardless whether you are working in a well or newly established one, for start-up or market leader. One of the main keys is Chinese-German Cross-cultural competency. In this workshop, each individual and all participants will be able to share, reflect and scale their own experiences and frequent occurring issues in CN-G-cooperation under guidance of an experienced facilitator in a discrete environment. From the beginning on and systematically, the entire workshop will be framed and backed-up by not only introducing the most sophisticated ways to compare our cultures beyond obvious differences. Participants will be able to discover and understand the culture-related roots of their work-attitudes and job expectations, as well as the relations and patterns to their business behaviors and even company cultures. Scope of workshop methodologies: Case studies, role-plays & simulations, sample videos, critical incidents, discussions, presentations, know-how exchange, and best-practice sharing.

Intercultural Conflict Management - German and Chinese Perspectives德中跨文化冲突管理

目标与内容 Objectives and Content

With the increase awareness of conflicts to de-motivate staff and to cause managerial ineffectiveness, skills required for managing conflicts would be essential for creating a highly effective team. Working in a multicultural environment, especially for Germans and Chinese from different cultural backgrounds to work together, shared understanding on how to reach consensus is the key for organizational effectiveness. This course is tailored to focus on issues involved in cross-cultural communication, negotiation and conflict resolution - German and Chinese perspectives. Participants would be able to understand roots of conflict and how to handle it. In order to reach consensus between oneself and others, this two-day program will explore how effective intercultural communication can influence positive team performance and global management.

Industrial process times comprise both manual labour times such as assembly work as well as equipment related times such as set-up or machining times. Process times are the basis of any successful industrial production by forming the basis for costs, wages, and, thus, your product pricing on the market.
