Prior to studying dentistry, he completed a Master in Business Administration specializing in Health Care Management from McMaster University. He has provided his caring brand of dentistry to the Durham region for over 5 years now. Dr. Thapar is a member in good standing with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO), Ontario Dental Association (ODA), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), and Omicron Kappa Upsilon (a dental society honoring graduates at the top of their class). He is married, a father of two and looking forward to serving the Ajax community with quality service and a friendly smile! 3. Dr. Verma’s goal is to provide the best quality of care to all his patients in a compassionate manner. 1. Dr. Advani graduated from Boston University with his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (D.M.D.) in 2004, after completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto. He enjoys meeting and treating new patients of all ages at his practices, and sharing information on the soft tissue laser treatments and Invisalign ® “invisible” braces offered as part of our general dentistry services. Dr. Leung, schedules consultations for dental implants, grafting, gum and periodontal disease, bone loss and much more right here, in the comfort and familiarity of our office. Dr. David Leung grew up in Toronto, where he attended Upper Canada College for 11 years. He attended New York University where he received degrees in Finance and Biochemistry. After college, he moved to Philadelphia where he attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, receiving both his doctorate and periodontics training.

Just because a drink is clear doesn’t mean there’s no risk of staining your tooth enamel. The reason is that the acids in the drinks above – and any acidic or tannin-rich food or beverage – can eat away at tooth enamel, creating rough spots that make teeth more porous and therefore vulnerable to staining.
After drinking any acidic beverage, rinse your mouth out with water. Have some milk or a piece of cheese after a meal to help neutralize acids or chew sugar-free gum with xylitol after eating to stimulate your saliva production and help wash away harmful acids from tooth surfaces.
