MINUTES OF NORTH HILLS HISTORIC AUTO CLUB

On September 11, 2011 the monthly meeting of the North Hills Historic Auto

Club was held at the Brennan residence after the picnic dinner. After the

Pledge of Allegiance, Lee Greenwood’s patriotic song was played by Jan

Smith. A correction was noted by Bob Zufall in the Minutes printed in the

Newsletter. Otherwise the Minutes of the August, 2011 meeting were

accepted by Bob Zufall and seconded by Dee Glesner. Treasurer Jack Swaney

read the Treasurer’s Report indicating that as of 9/11/11 the Club has

$6,019.12 in its treasury. Carol Vivaldi motioned to accept the

Treasurer’s Report and Ed Tarr seconded.

Dave, Becky’s friend, was a guest at our meeting. Janet Hohman was at the

meeting and we were all glad to see her.

Old Business: Carol Vivaldi announced again that Shaler’s homecoming is

October 8, 2011. October 1st is the Mars Applefest. Jan Smith gave the

Club a report about the Wings & Wheels Tour and said that Marlene Sipp won

an airplane ride. Michael Quinn reported to the Club that Steve Illsley’s

tour to Ohio was a good one and, even after getting sick in Steve’s

Turnpike Cruiser, his grandson is still alive! The Mt. Morris tour is

scheduled for October 23rd. Reservations are required by October 21

st. You

can bring a modern car if you like since it is going to be a long trip.

Call Steve for reservations. Mary Jo Phillips gave final arrangements for

the Foxburg tour. We would like to thank Chuck Glenz for hosting our

September picnics in the past. October 1, 2011 is the car show at the Mars

Train Station. Mary Jo Phillips also reminded us that our Club dues are to

be paid by the end of December. After December, the dues are $25.

September 24, 2011 there is a Night at the Races starting at 7:00 at the

VFW in Mars. Doors open at 6:00.

New Business: Clarice Sabina, Kathy Paine, Dee Glesner, Robert Stauffer

and Becky Stauffer volunteered to be the Nominating Committee this year

for elections. Clarice Sabina is the Chairperson. The open positions are

Secretary, Treasurer and one (1) Board Member.

There being no further business to discuss, Betty Boff motioned

to adjourn the meeting.

Respectfully submitted,
