End of Term 2
As this is the last week of term 2 I would like to take the
opportunity congratulate all of our staff students and com-
munity for their efforts in making it such a success We are
blessed here at North Shore State School to have highly
committed staff who commit themselves to meeting the
standards and expectations that our school holds so dearly
It was a very busy term with our students engaged in a
large number of exciting extra-curricular activities Highlights included
Choral Fanfare
Under 8rsquos Day
Anzac Day Ceremony and community march
Interschool sport season 1 and 2
School and Interschool Cross-County
School and Interschool Athletics
Thuringowa and NQ sport trials
I would like to wish all of our students and families leaving us at the end of
the term all the best for the future We thank you for being part of the North
Shore State School family for the time you were with us As we have also
been inundated with enrolments in the last week as students leave we will
also be welcoming a number of new students and their families for the be-
ginning of term 3 I know that our school community will welcome and sup-
port all of our new students and their families to our amazing school
School Holiday Safety
This is also an opportunity to wish for our community to have a safe and
enjoyable school holiday break We ask that our students be safe on their
bikes and scooters in particular I know that our PCYC OSHC Program will
be busy supporting our community during this period with their amazing
vacation care program We also appreciate that our school community sup-
ports us by reporting any suspicious behaviour or vandalism to the Police
School Watch phone number 131788
Dogs on our oval
As proactive and supportive members of our school community can I ask
that you help spread the message that dogs and their waste are not welcome
on our oval We are once again having issues with our students exposed to
dogs waste that is left by dog owners allowing their pets to play and leaving
their waste instead of picking it up We want our students to be safe from
unwanted waste at all times
