5.5 LEAGUE RULES 2018 Teams which have paid their administration fees are eligible to take part in the league. Proof of payment must be available at the first two league matches.

• All games to be played in or before the end of the week that the match has been scheduled to take place. Platinum league matches preferably to be played on astro.

• The Home school has preference on which day the match must be played. (Please accommodate each other).

• The Home school must confirm with their opposition as to which teams have been entered in the league. Some schools do not have teams in all age groups.

• Each coach must have a neatly typed team list (names, surnames and dates of birth) on the school’s letterhead, signed by the principal to submit to the technical official before the start of the match. After the match the coach may have the team list to submit at the next match.

• Copies of all players ID’s/birth certificates plus photo’s plus the team list must be submitted to Elda Botha before the league matches commence.

• Fields should be according to the specifications in the rule book. Grass fields must be in good condition and the grass must be kept as short as possible.

• The host school must ensure that they have qualified first aid (Level 2 or 3) and technical officials for all league games as well as a proper match ball. Learners may be used as technical officials but an adult technical official must be present at all times.

• Teams may not take to the field if the above mentioned are not in place.

• Each team to supply an umpire who is suitably qualified. Names of umpires for each school must be sent to Leseya Matthee [email protected] before the league commences. Schools which do not comply will not be allowed to play league matches.

• The results must be sent by sms to Andries Vellema 084 514 3389 or Candice Ascencao 082 512 4935 as soon as possible after completion of the matches, to be entered on the website. The summary of the results together with the technical table report, signed by coaches/managers of both schools, umpires and technical officials, must be submitted to the convenor of that specific league (table below) on the Monday following the match date to ensure that the logs are kept up to date. Schools who fail to adhere to this request will forfeit their match points.

• Schools which withdraw from/do not play two matches/give points will be withdrawn and all their results will be null and void.

• Should a team be withdrawn it is imperative that the convenor of that league be notified immediately. League Responsible person Email address Cell phone number

• The following points system will be applicable: Win 3 Draw 1

Loss 0 Bonus 1 (max 1 bonus point if team wins, not scores, with 3 or more goals)

• Should the situation arise at any time where two or more teams have the same number of points, then: The position of the teams shall be decided upon a goal difference basis, i.e. goals for minus goals against, biggest difference wins. Should there still be equality, then the position will be decided by the number of games won. Should there still be equality then results of the two teams concerned will be used. Should there still be equality then a penalty stroke competition between the 2 teams will be held.

• The North West league will play in their districts and at the end of the season the district winners and runners-up will

play in the Play-offs to determine the North West winners and runners-up. The context of schools differ therefore it is

the organiser’s responsibility to arrange friendly matches for teams which do not have many/enough league matches.

• Schools should take note of the dates for the play-offs! Schools which withdraw from the play-offs at a late stage

will be subject to disciplinary action. Please read the Constitution before the league commences to ensure that

your school abides by the Constitution.

• An example of a technical table form which is completed correctly is included below. The coach/manager is

responsible to complete the form not the captain or any other player.
