The overall goal of the NTDSC is to improve the oral health of American
Indian people in the Pacific Northwest.
Collaboration with the 34 IHS/Tribal dental programs in the Portland Area to address the broad challenges
and opportunities associated with these dental programs.
Four-prong approach

NTDSC Highlights
Provide 6-8 clinical and prevention site visits
Provide dental staff with CDE credits
Completed Oral Health Surveys on 1-5 year olds last year and 6-8 year olds this year.
Ongoing communication with 34 programs.

8/39 Portland Area dental programs received free supplies and CDE as participants in the national ECC Virtual Learning Community.
