Term 4 NEWSLETTER 29

Dear Parents. Our children continue doing great things in and out the Classroom space On a serious note… Whilst walking round the school and catching up with our children, I am disturbed and worried about the freedom of choice our children have when watching tv, gaming and when interacting on social media sites.

Parents are in many cases unaware of the content being viewed at home or when children have playdates. "If you're not taking an active role in your child's online life, you may be missing important opportunities to ensure they are on the path toward "digital citizenship," and protected from inappropriate content and people."Humza Khan) Children need parental guidance and input to ensure they’re prepared to make intelligent online choices. www.activekids.com has some very practical parent tips. Please read the article with your child and make Social Media, TV and Gaming, a Colourful Conversation this week.

Dates to remember: A quieter week of consolidation lies ahead. Saturday 3 November Grade 1 2019 Orientation Morning from 11:00 to 12:00

unfortunately the results didn’t go our way but it was still an amazing season by the girls. Our Swimming team took a

very close 2nd place in their gala at Rivonia Primary on Friday.

The week was rounded off with our TOM teams participating in the Tournament of Minds event. Well done to all our

boys and girls who participated. Team 3 were awarded Honours for their challenge. Our children really made us proud.

Swimming

Our last galas of the year take place this week. We wish all the boys’ and girls’ good luck and want to thank them for

the dedication and commitment they have all shown this season. The competition was extremely tough, but the grit
