CHEAPER .
DO NOT USE FOSSIL FUEL IN A HIGHRATE .
RELATIONSHIP BETWEENHUMAN AND ENVIRONMENT:
CLOSELY :
- KNOW WHO IN OUR SURROUNDING.
- OBSERVE OUR ENVIRONMENT.
- ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY.
PRESENT
MOTORIZATION: AUTOMOBILES,
AIRCRAFT, TRAINS, BUSES ANDTRUCKS.
COMFORTABLE BUT EXPENSIVE.
ABLE TO MOVE AT A VERY FASTRATE.
USE HIGH POWER ENGINE WITH
HIGH FOSSIL FUEL. PRODUCING SMOKE AND CAUSES
POLLUTION.
RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN
HUMAN AND ENVIRONMENT:

Age
- youth, adults and older.
- Suitability of transport based on age.
- Different needs of vehicles:
Youth-preferred the brand and modified it tomake it looks superb.
Adults- preferred the transport based on theirincome and ability
Older people with limited mobility : Appropriatetransport for older people with limited mobilityand at risk of social exclusion.

Races
- Discrimination based on races: Black and White people
white people get a first class serve

- Lifestyle :
Europe have a modern lifestyle
- up to date about latest products oftransportation (car).
Eastern-have a standard lifestyle
-use modes of transport based on affordability

Classes or status- Capitalist (rich man): high income, small
family but have a large transport , exclusive
and comfortable.- labour (poor man) : lower income, big family

Transportation Oriented Development (T.O.D)
TOD seeks to set a pleasant relationship between node and place, neighborhood and region, or house and job. This relationship is
normally and mainly meant to be provided by urban transportation.
TODs are mixed-use, dense neighborhoods around public transitstations.
The main aim is to encourage people to use public transit instead of
personal cars.
This is done through optimal use of public transport and urban form.
Powerful transportation facilities like urban trains, trams, and busesare used in urban and regional scales and also most of the house aretried to be located within the walking distance of the transit stations.
THE MAIN GOALS OF T O D

16/28
THE MAIN GOALS OF T.O.D
1. Organize growth on a regional level to be compact and
transit-supportive.
2.Place commercial, housing, jobs, parks, and civic uses
within walking distance of transit stops.
3. Create pedestrian-friendly street networks which directly
connect local destinations.
4. Provide a mix of housing types, densities, and costs.
5. Make public spaces the focus of building orientation and
neighborhood activity.
6. Encourage infill and redevelopment along transit corridors
within existin nei hborhoods.

What is meant by sustainable transport ?
Why there is a need to have and practiceusing the sustainable transport ?
How are we going to promote sustainability
transportation to public ?
7/31/2019 Nota Cik Nab_Transportation
24/28
The reduction ofnegative
environmental
impacts within thesector.
A holistic commitment toecological sustainability andtransports role therein, whichentails fundamental changesto our social, economic and
industrial systems.
The gradual reshaping of oursocial and economic
expectations of what ourtransport systems should be,what we should demand of
them, and how we should usethem.
Not solely focuses inincreasing the GNP,but also protectingthe environment
from further humandestruction.

How toenhance
sustainabilityof our
transportationsystem ?
Give priority to and promoteinvestment in and use of
transport modes that are lesscarbon and pollutant intensive
in their manufacture andoperation.
Promote and deliverimproved, more
passenger friendlypublic transport to
reduce private car use.
Educate the public and
stakeholder groups aboutsustainable transport and
provide incentives toencourage change in our
travel behaviour andtransport expectations.
Increase urban consolidation byencouraging greater density of
development and facilitateintegrated land-use andtransport planning to improve
access, reduce the need to travel, and deliver urban environments
that support walking, cyclingand public transport.
Accelerate theintroduction of cleaner
fuels and moreefficient vehicle
technologies across thetransport fleet.

27/28
Transportation has benefits and its down side
on the environment as well as human beings.
Sustainable transportation does not mean
that we are sacrificing the economic growth
to reduce CO2, but taking climate change in
the most cost-effective way possible.
RICH AND DIRTY or POOR AND
GREEN..the choice is in our hand.
