- Enterprise Support Report - The purpose of the SAP Enterprise Support Report - BI SelfService is toprovide our customers with a holistic overview and actual status of theapplication and lifecycle management of their mission critical operations.

The objective is to ensure that the appropriate service and support isprovided for the SAP Software Solutions and that actions are taken toardess any open issues that might have a negative effect on the operationsof the installed application or business solutions.

The data shown in the ESR - BI SelfService is based on the informationavailable in the customer's SAP Solution Manager or SAP Global SupportBackbone and will be measured against the SAP E2E standards.

- PSLE Report - The SAP PSLE Report SelfService is a report for SAP Product Support forLarge Enterprises (SAP PSLE) customers and gives a holistic overview on thecurrent status of the application and lifecycle management of yourmission-critical operations and the SAP deliverables.

SolutionThis note describe the activation of Engagement Report Framework which isused for generation of Enterprise Support Report via SelfService and PSLEReport via SelfService.

Prerequisites:ST400 SPS 22ST400 SPS 23ST400 SPS 24ST400 SPS 25ST400 SPS 26ST400 SPS 27ST400 SPS 28ST710 SPS 00ST710 SPS 01ST710 SPS 02ST710 SPS 03

General Information valid for all Support Packages mentionedin this note

The enhanced/new functionality between different support packages onlybecome effective after re-run ESR activation. Our recommendation is afterupgrade, please re- run 'Enable ESR data transfer/Enable ESR BI SelfService'.

The loading and extraction of data is done by batch job EFWK RESSOURCEMANAGER in the SAP Solution Manager system by SMD_RFC(default name).TheSMD_RFC user is created by user SOLMAN_ADMIN during runtime forcommunication between Root Cause Analysis/Java and SAP Solution Manager/ABAP.If you use a remote BW system/client, the default user name isSMD_BI_RFC.

Known issues in SAP Solution Manager ST400 >= SP25

- Customer name is not displayed on Cover Page in generated report and alsodoes not appear in F4 value help list for selection field "Customer number"--> implement notes 1490774 and 1151450

- the roles SAP_BW_CCMS_REPORTING and SAP_BW_CCMS_SETUP should be assignedto the EFWK user/RFC user

- if there are no RFC connection standalone system, assign this roledirectly to the user who perform the activation, run program AGS_ESR_ACT inSolution Manager

- implement hot notes (in the given order) to fix some bugs andauthorization problem: 1449078, 1449508 , 1449519, 1449571, 1449572,1449584

Logon to your SAP Solution Manager in language = EN. Thereports can only be genareted in english. Other languages arenot supported in the Support Packages mentioned above.
