When Miss Barker & Miss Palmer read the section of the lion, they could hear that quivers and shivers rhymes! This because they have the same sound at the end. What rhyming words can you hear? Addition by counting on: If you have your own small world animals at home, you can use them or this activity or see the attached animal addition sheet. In class we have been practicing ‘counting on’ to find out the total of two groups.
For example, when we want to add the two groups of elephants we would first count 3, then we would put 3 in our head and count on 4, 5 to find the total amount of animals that is 5.

On the Road to Emmaus
13 Now that same day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus, about seven miles[a] from Jerusalem. 14 They were talking with each
other about everything that had happened. 15 As they talked and discussed these things with each other, Jesus himself came up and walked along
