Visors, golf and baseball hats

Palo Verde Lounge:

Midriff-exposing tops

SAFETY REMINDERS As we finish our beautiful spring weather and move into the hotter months of summer there are a few reminders to keep in mind for the safety and enjoyment of our summer residents. Five Lakes - Please remember to be courteous as you enjoy

our beautiful lakes.

The paths are walking paths for those who walk for exercise or to walk their dogs.

Golf carts and bicycles must yield to walkers. Most of us are seniors and many cannot move fast enough to get out of the way of moving golf carts/bicycles.

Golf carts must slow down. If you want to go faster please use the streets.

Please do not walk dogs along the fence lines. Walk on the paths or closer to the lakes.

Clean up after your dog(s) unless you have taught them to clean up after themselves.

All dogs and cats must be on a leash at all times, with you on the other end of the leash.

Speed Limit – 25 miles an hour

Our speed limit and streets are enforced by the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office (MCSO). Several residents/guests have been observed driving much too fast. It is only a matter of time until those who drive too fast will have an accident and injure people, animals, or property. Please SLOW DOWN!

Let’s have a safe and happy summer with all we have had to deal with throughout the spring. Be safe, courteous and be sure to share a smile – it is catching!

PALM TREE TRIMMING TIME Palms are typically trimmed in June. The reason we do palms this time of year is because the seed pods grow out and are messy and unsightly. Having your tree trimmed after the seed pods emerge ensures that you get a full year to enjoy a properly trimmed, clean tree. The Compliance Officer will start checking homeowner palm trees starting in July.

VOLUNTEER (Con't) COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE The Communications Committee was established to provide the Board of Directors and HOA Management with input and recommendations reflecting the needs and desires of the Community. It supports Management’s communications vehicles, namely "The Flyer," "In The Know," and the HOA Website. Other activities include the Ambassador Program, management of the HOA Library, the weekly collection of the White Comment Cards and Restaurant Comment Cards including summary reports to Management and the HOA Board, and maintaining the History of the HOA. It assists the Board and Management in the completion of the mechanics of any required presentation or publication.

The Communications Committee encourages everyone to get involved in their Community. Consider a membership on the Communications Committee and obtain an application at the HOA Administration Center or from the Website. The Communications Committee meets the first Monday of the month at 8:30am in the Ceramics Room. Even though the Committee will not meet during the summer, the work goes on and the reports are maintained. We hope you will consider the Communications Committee as your first choice and submit an application!
