COTTONWOOD BAR & GRILL REMODEL The remodel of the Cottonwood Bar & Grill will be taking place over the next several months. FITNESS ACTIVITY CENTER We have consulted with an infectious disease control specialist and will be following those guidelines that were recommended to keep our staff and homeowners safe.
New operational hours for the Fitness Activity Center:
Monday - Thursday 6:00am-7:00pm
Friday - Sunday 6:00am-6:00pm
This will permit our cleaning staff additional time to sanitize the equipment and building.
Fee-based exercise classes will resume at a later date to be announced.
A few of the other changes you will see are:
Every other Cardio machine will be used. Orange cones will mark the machines that are not to be used. This will allow for proper social distancing while a machine is in use.
All staff and homeowners will receive a non-contact infrared thermometer forehead check upon checking in at the front desk. Anyone with a fever will not be allowed to use the Fitness Activity Center.
During our peak hours of operation there will be additional staff that will be monitoring strict social distancing protocol. They will also be conducting extra sanitation of equipment.
Locker rooms and showers will be closed. This includes the spa and sauna. Restrooms will remain open.
It is advised you wash your hands upon entering the fitness center and again before you leave. Hand sanitizer will be available for your use at anytime during your workout.
JOIN A COMMITTEE
ARCHITECTURAL COMPLIANCE COMMITTEE (ACC) It is the responsibility of the ACC to meet twice monthly to review and administrate permit applications regarding the alterations of any exterior architecture or landscaping of residences for Cottonwood Palo Verde at Sun Lakes. This objective assures that the aesthetics of the community are preserved, and the intent of the Association's Declaration of Restrictions is not compromised.
The committee consists of nine (9) homeowners, a non-voting Board member designated as Chairperson and a Compliance Officer. The Committee meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month unless posted otherwise.
A report by the Compliance Officer regarding any ACC violations and subsequent action, if necessary, is presented to the ACC at each meeting.
All permit applications submitted to the committee by the Architectural Administrative Assistant are reviewed by the committee members. When an application has been approved, the member assigned to that area reports on the progress through completion.
As an ACC member, you will have the opportunity to become part of this very important process. We invite you to consider applying for the ACC.
AUDIT & FINANCE COMMITTEE The purpose of the Audit and Finance Committee is to review and audit the financial operations of the Homeowner Association of Cottonwood Palo Verde at Sun Lakes and to perform other tasks as required by the Board of Directors.
A&F is an advisory committee established to assist the Board in its oversight responsibilities concerning audit, compliance and the implementation of the financial reporting systems.
A&F is composed of seven members. We review the monthly financial statement, provide financial forecasts to the Board and Management and conduct special studies and audits at the request of the Board. Our committee meets on the first Thursday of each month at 3:00 PM in the Phoenix Room unless otherwise posted. Join us.
FACILITIES & GROUNDS The Facilities & Grounds Committee meets monthly to assist the Board and CWPV Management with projects brought forth by the Board/Management Long Range Planning Team (B/M LRPT), Board of Directors, other Standing committees and homeowners.
The Facilities & Grounds Committee is a standing committee consisting of seven (7) members. Meetings are normally held on the first Tuesday of each month at 10:00AM in the Phoenix Room. We seek your involvement in the future of your community. Please fill out an application at the Administration Office and become part of the future of Cottonwood Palo Verde at Sun Lakes.
COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE
The Communications Committee was established to provide the Board of Directors and HOA Management with input and recommendations reflecting the needs and desires of the Community. It supports Management’s communications vehicles, namely "The Flyer," "In The Know," and the HOA Website. Other activities include the Ambassador Program, management of the HOA Library, the weekly collection of the White Comment Cards and Restaurant Comment Cards including summary reports to Management and the HOA Board, and maintaining the History of the HOA. It assists the Board and Management in the completion of the mechanics of any required presentation or publication.
The Communications Committee encourages everyone to get involved in their Community. Consider a membership on the Communications Committee and obtain an application at the HOA Administration Center or from the Website. The Communications Committee meets the first Monday of the month at 8:30am in the Ceramics Room. Even though the Committee will not meet during the summer, the work goes on and the reports are maintained. We hope you will consider the Communications Committee as your first choice and submit an application!
