NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
The Planning & Zoning Commission of the City of Alamo Heights will hold a public hearing on Monday, November 06, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall located at 6116 Broadway St., Alamo Heights, Texas to consider a request to replat the property currently known as 415 La Jara, identified as CB 4024, BLK 10, Lot 9R and 622 Evans Ave, identified as CB 4024, BLK 10, Lot 10R.
The City Council of the City of Alamo Heights will conduct a public hearing on Monday, November 13, 2017 at its regular City Council meeting at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers located at 6116 Broadway St, Alamo Heights, Texas relating to the recommendations’ of the Planning and Zoning Commission regarding the same issues.
We are proposing the replatting of two properties on the corner of La Jara Blvd and
Evans Ave. The two properties up for review are 415 La Jara Blvd and 622 Evans Ave. In
our proposal, we are requesting to move the west property line of 415 La Jara Blvd 35' to
the west - restoring 622 Evans Ave to a 65' lot.
The property at 622 Evans Ave. is currently a 100' wide property that houses a one
story residence. And the corner property at 415 La Jara Blvd. is the residence of Mr. and
Mrs. William Balthrope which houses a 1930 German homestead. The property is currently
under construction where we are building a one story, single level structure embracing the
original homestead.
In our effort to construct a single level home that will allow our clients to age in
place while preserving the original homestead, the finish floor of the new construction is dictated by the finish floor of the original structure - making the driveway entry from Evans
8' higher than the finish floor. With the uncertainty of future construction at 622 Evans, this will ensure a lush landscaped rear yard while also mitigating the construction of a
gracious sloping driveway.
Please accept this letter as confirmation that the proposed development listed above can be served by CPS Energy’s electric and gas distribution systems under the provisions of our current Supply Line Extension Policies contingent on the appropriate easements, rights-of-way, and permits being obtained and/or provided.
Since the specific plans indicating how the property will be developed have not yet been submitted, CPS Energy cannot estimate the cost for providing the electric and gas service within the identified tract of property. A cost estimate for the provision of these utility services may be requested once plans depicting the types of development and configurations are submitted to CPS Energy for review.
