For all other buses whose permits have expired and those buses seeking fresh permits, the provisions of this notification will apply. 4. Considering the need for public transport in early morning and late evenings and factoring ed passenger load during such hours, additional night fare of 20% in each category is allowed between 8 pm to 6 am. part in plain area, differential rates will apply for the respective length of journey.
7. Every bus shall display the fare chart at prominent places at the entrance
of the bus, inside the buses etc. Such fare structure shall be approved by the STA
and will also be displayed in the Website of Transport Department and in
prominent places in the motor stands.
8. The rate of fare for Stage Carriage - Passenger Bus Services in Rs. per

conductors, fares will be rounded off to the next multiple of Rs.5/-. However, for
all e-transactions, it should be rounded to the next multiple of Rs.1/-. For this
purpose, all buses shall make arrangements for enabling e-transactions. Further,
they should issue tickets, which can be e-tickets as well. For those vehicles, that
do not install such e-transaction facility or do not have such functioning system
post installation, till such time, it is installed/ functional as the case may be,
rounding off will be to the lower multiple of Rs.5/-.

Annexure,
Onation for operating Passenger Service Buses
COuld operate as Normal service or Express service. Timings for each trip Oid be pre specified for both Normal and Express services. The timings should be
strictly adhered
At the time of registration/ permit issuance/ renewal/ fitness check, itrnent oi
Tuncthonal device for GPS and emergency button shall be installed. The adherence of
timings shall also be monitored on the basis of the same Express /Normal services, as the case may be, should be clearly indicated on the
front, sides and back of the buses based on the service of operation.
4) STA shall ensure maintenance of proper mix of such services with at least 75%
services in the Normal services category.
5) For Express services, one stoppage is permitted for around 30 km of travel. The
stoppage can be any pre-approved stoppage but not less than 15 km from the
starting or destination point. The stoppage for express services has to be necessarily
in the motor stand and not on the road side bus stop. Permits will be issued with the
enroute stoppages along with the timings thereto.
6) City buses can operate as Express or Normal services.
7) For existing Buses with permits, unless specifically approved by the State Transport
Authority, they shall not ply as Express service.
8) A maximum of 5 minute stoppage is permitted at any intermediate motor stand.
However, for distances in excess of 150 km, a health tea break of upto 20 minutes
is also permitted at any intermediate stoppage that should roughly corTesponding to a
mid location.
9) Timings for each and every bus should be obtained from the STA Board. The said
timings will be indicated in the Transport Department Website as well as in the motor
stand for convenience of the passengers. Scheduled time of departure for each service
should also be displayed on the bus, along with the category of service - Normal or
Express.
10)Fare chart for Normal/ Express / Night service shall be displayed at multiple places
in the bus and will also be made available in the website of Transport Department. It
should also be displayed prominently in the Motor Stand.

Contract Carriage Auto Rickshaw
2 Contract Carriage Auto Rickshaws shall be permitted only outside areas
mentioned in para 5 below. The rate of Contract Carriage Auto Rickshaws is as

capacity shall be displayed prominently in the Auto.
Meter Auto Rickshaw
5. All Autos plying in the AMC areas and within the following points shall ply
only with meter as approved by the Transport Department
(i) Narsingarh on the North-West direction
(ii) Gandhigram on the North direction
(ii) nayerpur and Banikva Chowmohani on the East direc tion
(1) Moloynagar junction Agartala Bypass on the South East direction (V) Surjvamaninagar on the South direction (vi) Akhaura Checkpost on the West direction
Autos plying in the AMC and the above mentioned areas shall not refuse passengers in any direction within the above limits.
6. In order to encourage meter auto services at odd hours in Agartala city, additional rates are allowed for night hours from 9 PM to 5 AM.
In order to make Autos available at all places within the AMC area and to
spread their reach, Autos are encouraged to move into the interior roads of AMC.
As such, considering idle mileage, the following r�tes are stipulated for Meter
Autos.

2 For upto 100 km, the per day rate is fixed irrespective of the extent of
usage. For beyond 100 km, additional rate is fixed per km. Considering the
additional charges incurred to the driver, assistant / cleaner etc., night halt will
