OUR MISSION STATEMENT AND PURPOSE
To provide an opportunity for women to meet regularly in order to build their businesses through network-
ing and to foster the development of women in the community through social networking and scholarship
opportunities. We shall provide social and educational meetings which will focus on business opportunities
and development for women.
President’s Message
Heard any good health tips lately? I sure did at our last meeting. Dr. Tamara Lund
shared her Youthful Brain Now presentation, correlating our daily nutrition and
lifestyle to a healthy brain! It’s wonderful having one of our own members be such
a great resource for us all. Thank you, Tamara!
See who’s sailing the ship in 2019. Board Election results are in! See the newsletter
for details. And on that note, as we near the end of the year, the incoming board is
looking for suggestions for next year’s membership appreciation events. If you have
any ideas (education or social), please email to tuolumnecountywomensnet-
Membership dues are now only $35. Please go to our website to renew your mem-
bership for next year! I am hoping we can start the year off with a full membership
and turn our focus on growing this fabulous group. More members benefit us all!
And finally…..….this month’s meeting is our Annual Installation Dinner. This year
we have moved this event to Mt. Springs and the date is Wednesday, November
28th. I look forward to seeing everyone there for a lovely evening with good food,
drinks and fun. Please join us in welcoming our new 2019 Board of Directors, while
giving thanks & appreciation to our 2018 Board.

Hello! New member Willow Polson here. I run Chronokinesis Entertainment (chrono means time, and kinesis means movement, so "chronokinesis" means the ability to move time... or time travel!). I've been a professional writer for over 25 years, and have moved into film & TV production work over the past five years or so, starting with my show "Vintage America with Ginger," which recently won "Best Non-Fiction Series" at the Indie Series Awards in Burbank this spring.
I am a producer, executive producer, writer, director, production coordinator, script super-visor, post production supervisor, and pretty much any other hats required to get the job done. I've worked on a number of feature films in the Bay Area and Los Angeles, as well as a variety of projects from my home office in the Groveland area. One of the most recent, and most interesting, has been an animated comic book series based on my passion pro-ject, "Triune," a supernatural tale about three brothers who aren't quite as human as they thought they were.
I love storytelling, and I love to help people find new ways to get their story told. I'm highly visual too, so media like comic books, animation, web series, television, and film are all ways to bring sto-ries to life that I find really exciting. Speaking of visual, I love doing any kind of crafts (but especially embroi-dery and beadwork, for which I have won awards) and growing unusual va-rieties of African violets. I look forward to getting to know all of you in the Women's Network, and learning more about your stories!

So excited to be spotlighted again….
So many amazing things have been happening this year!!!! When I
moved here almost 3 years ago I had no idea that I would have a
very successful wedding planning business. Frankly, I had no idea
what I was going to be doing at all!!!
Being in the business of event planning and floral design for over 30 years you can get burned
out, but it has always been my first love!!! Who doesn’t like flowers…
I plugged myself into the Sonora area at the end of 2016 and other areas of Northern California to
see if wedding planning would take off. My plan moving here was to work from home, set my
own schedule and still be able to have the freedom to travel to see my kids and family.
Well, things have really taken off this year, I not
only am running my own business and very busy
with that, I am also now the coordinator for The
Meadows (new venue owned by the Wren Fam-
ily) and Union Hill Inn. I was recently asked to
consult/manage for the new Columbia Floral and
Wares shop owned by Karen and Pete Luckhardt
in Columbia.
I am finally feeling like this area is home and I am
really enjoying meeting new people and plugging
more into the community of Sonora.
